That's quite a collection that you've completed. I'm sure that the lad is over the moon about them. I'm sure that he'll master reading before you know it. Thanks for sharing your success with us. Well done!

Thank you, Jeffrey, it was a great feeling getting these done for Eric. I'm sure he will master his dyslexia, he's not a boy that likes to lose a fight. :)) Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Wow Sandra, what an achievement - you should be so proud of yourself. Eric is a very handsome boy, and as you say, one day he will read these books and be so proud of you. What a lovely legacy to leave your grandson. Well done dear girl - love Dorothy xxx

Congratulations. Very well done and in a sector that is so very important to. I am particularly pleased that Eric seems as excited as you are. The six stars here are not so much for this piece but for your contribution to dyslexic reading skills.

What a lovely thing to say, thank you, Jim. On the 5th March, this year, it was National Book Day, and Eric's school had the children come to school dressed as a character in one of their favourite books, Eric came as himself, and took his Alien book with him, lol! The head teacher has asked me if I would go and read to the children, and then lock down started. But I'll be doing that when everything is back to normal. All the children at his school has learning difficulties of one form or another. Thank you, Jim, for the six stars, that was very generous of you and I really appreciated it. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

It is wonderful to watch Eric grow. He is one handsome boy. I am sure he will handle his dyslexia, and one day read your books himself.

Congratulations. I'm sure that with all your help Eric will soon be reading them. The rest of us have enjoyed them too. He sounds like a smart boy, and I know he'll master his dyslexia.

CONGRATULATIONS! I know you're so excited!
I'm going to be writing a book series with my almost 8=year-old granddaughter, Addison. she's in foster care right now, looking at being adopted by family friends. she's kind of just hanging on some days, so we're going to do a book series about a girl her age and the girl's dog. We'll be positng here before publication, too. This site is filled with such loving souls!
One error:
master this dyslexia, that, with the school's >> master this dyslexia that, with the school's
Blessings, fellow-grandma!
Deb

I'll be looking out for that, Debora. I found with Eric, having a book about him being a time traveller has boosted his confidence a lot. He's a lovely boy with a kind heart, but his dyslexia has held him back . Now in a special needs school for children who have learning disabilities of all kinds, he is coming along so much better. I'm sure your granddaughter will love her books. Thanks for finding that error! And thank you so much for your kind words, my friend. Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xxx

Wow! You're the best writer grandma ever! You're an inspiration!! I hope to dedicate books to my grand kids following your example but I don't have any characters named for the kids. He does look so happy!!
By the way, has he ever tried to read with a colored plastic sheet over the words? I have heard in the early days of work with dyslexia that simply using a green sheet of plastic over the book made the letters much more distinct for the dyslexic reader.
Congratulations, again!

Aw, thank you so much for those lovely words, Helen. His smile always gets to me, and he knows it. lol. You make up the characters names, I'm sure you'll come up with some great one. I have them published on cream paper, and the school he goes to now, give the children with dyslexia yellow tinted glasses especially made for them. I wonder if they've heard of the sheet of coloured plastic. I'm going to look for some now. I've learnt loads since I've been writing for Eric and that's an extra tip, thank you, my friend. And thanks for the congrats!! :)) Sandra xxx

That's so cool that you used different colored paper. When I was in high school there was a short-lived concept of printing on light green paper to make it easier on the eyes.
