This is a fitting and timely senryu about the aftermath of the George Floyd murder by the police. All the looting and burning is as senseless as his death. It is a horrible way to honor a person's death.

So true, negative actions cause more problems and no solution. Two wrongs do not make anything right. Sometimes talking things out on a calm ground is the best way to settle disputes and issues among us. Well done writer.

I like (and completely don't like) your political senyu. I like the flow and the current theme of it. I don't like that it ever had occasion to be written at all.

Nicely done! Meets all the criteria of the contest with no errors or needed corrections. It was not what I was expecting from the title but, on reflection, the title works well for your words. A sad commentary about the recent goings on in a country (world) already reeling from the recent pandemic.

Amen! That will always remain true. And the peaceful protesters were overshadowed by opportunistic people who used anger to rob and destroy. Change is not ushered in by these actions.

The rioters and terrorists that are destroying businesses, defacing the Lincoln Memorial, vandalizing the Korean, Viet Nam, WWII memorials are eager to destroy America and unfortunately, there is a cadre of politicians willing to allow them.
