Your descriptions and feelings regarding Zoe are very interesting, I am one of those people who cannot understand why anyone would mark up their body with tattoos. However, I can understand that once one has done it there is meaning to the markings and the stories behind them are very interesting.

Okay. Now I can see that I'm not crazy, you're probably not crazy, and that Zoe is an actual person and not a cat. Great. Now we're getting somewhere.

Hooray! (Zoe might be a little crazy.) Thank you very much for persevering with the stories. I appreciate your reviews.

I like your comparison of Zoe's transformation of your garden to your own personal journey. It is very interesting living with the younger generation - I just had my own back for a few weeks/months due to this pandemic as well. :)

A very well-written journal entry about your house guest who seems interesting and there are many positive aspects about her to discover. I do not like tattoos on my own body, but I will not judge others when they like to do that.

I can't stand tattoos in a general sense but I do know that some choose theirs for very specific reasons. I can see you two becoming very good friends, if you're not already.

Another fine story in the saga of Zoe. I feel the same way about tattoos--gorgeous artwork should adorn walls, not skin! (My spouting on that subject is titled ON SKINS AND NEEDLES.) You bring Zoe gloriously to life throughout this series--it's high time you get a bonussssss! Cheers. LIZ

Am enjoying reading your Zoe journal more everyday. Thank you for being so transparent with your own challenges. There isn't one of us that doesn't have more than one thing that we are working on, or need to work on, right now. And, needs the encouragement that comes from personal testimony. God has sent what you need straight into the "mess" and will bring you out the other side, trimmed, pruned, and flourishing. Zoe too. She will know what real love is. And she has been given a chance to use her skills to help another person to improve. Paying it forward is a great things. She will open up her own path ahead in life by serving you in this way. Both of you will be back on track.
Yay!
Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Well done!
It's okay to hide. Great things are happening behind the scenes and there is a "show time" for everyone :)

Really enjoyed this post. I was hoping you'd talk about the Maori tattoos as well. I also wouldn't tattoo myself just because the skin does take in the ink to some degree so for health reasons. I think there's a verse in Leviticus that says not to. Yet, your description of Zoe's tattoos are beautiful and indeed reflects an identity that will remain with her all her life. Still, skin changes over the years and those pictures can be altered with the change.

Tattoos are very accepted today on women and no longer have the stigma they used to have. The stars are all tattooed these day and I also have a tattoos! Zoe sounds like quite a character and her personality is large as life and you are enjoying have her around. She will have a great influence over your garden and you have let someone into your life who will be good company for you and question you at every turn and sometimes we need a little shake up now and then. I think she is definitely a nature lover and I loved her tattoo here, love Dolly x

LisaM, I like the way your story is developing. Your relationship with Zoe is not as icy--she chose to open up to you a little.
There are some wonderful facets of Maori culture, explained in the tattoos,
that are enlightening. A very nice story, LisaM. I'm still vying for a cat adoption here somewhere (just a little humor).
I like your easy read prose style. Excellent work. Good luck,
Cindy
