This is a most inventive verse. Sloths are fascinating little critters but it must be a bother to them sometimes to move so slow, but not so slow that he wasn't able to run away whilst sleeping.

The lisping poet commiserates with the sloth's loss of sloth! Clearly, the poor chap is getting fed-up with lockdown and has decided to get up and doing! Or, since he's a sloth, get upside down and doing.
