Hilarious! I can almost hear him saying it. I do not know how you do this! And to place it all within the short boundaries of the 5-7-5. That is a gift, my friend. Great job! Absolutely!

Hello,
I pray all is well with you. This is a witty animal 5-7-5 poem. I love that cute photo of the sloth with his pug brown nose and big brown eyes. Your poem is nicely done. It was easy to read and understand. I hope he finds his sloth. Very clever. Nicely done. Thanks and Happy writing:-)

Thank you, Liz. I thought it broke away from the cat puns at least.

A good choice of subject...I love sloths & any slow loris. I had to write that senstence because I don't know the plural of loris. lol

How cute is this! Reminds me of an old joke where the person uses 'th' instead of 's' because the 's' key is missing. That image is absolutely adorable. The sloth isn't an animal I usually think about, but this changes that. Hugs, Lou

A wonderful entry for the Witty, Animal 5-7-5 writing prompt contest. Good syllable count. The presentation is beautiful. Good luck in the contest.

A speech impaired sloth?? lol. That's rich! I love this, and have a granddaughter that still talks like this (cause she thinks it's cute!)
This is a great contest entry. Best in it,
Blessings,
Deb

This took me a bit and I wondered whether it is like the "giftie gi' us" of just a speech impediment. I like it, but I'm having so much trouble with the language that I can't find the pun.

I couldn't see an image here? This is a fun use of language to mimic an accent and deliver a message to us to make us smile, an amusing post, love Dolly x

I don?t see it either. It was from FanArt. Wonder if the artist pulled it? Thank you from taking a look, Dolly.

Hi there,
Some nice inventiveness here but I'm not sure it totally works due to lack of consistency. The lisping aspect... would it not apply to sloth as well as the other 's' sounds'?
Fun piece though

It would, but I felt I was straining the readers? linguistic articulations enough with the other ninety percent of the poem.
