Wow, this was indeed so educational. I would never have thought there would be so many kinds or that each of them have distinctive differences. I did love Graham's drawing, he does provide that interesting touch. Interesting rhyme noted. Is there anyway you can increase the font size for both the prelude (explanation of why you are are doing this) and the poem. Also if you can change the coloring of the prelude or make it a bold red that would help. Sorry to nitpick but my tired old eyes scream at both of these. As always big smiles and big hugs. Be safe, be well.

I am so glad you chose jellyfish for the J. They are amazing creatures. I always enjoy watching them when we're at the Gulf. I know kids are going to love reading about the animals.

Who knew there were so many! I especially like the Moon Jellies. Interesting that babies born in space can't cope with gravity. I wonder what that will mean for future space travel.

That is the question. I suppose the babies would have to wear weighted shoes! lol. Thank you for reading this one, and the lovely review, my friend. Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xxx

Such fascinating info re jellyfish especially the ones born in space and inability to deal with earth's gravity but the possibility of the same situation arising with space babies !!!there's a whole new world to be conquered in terms of knowledge- written in such a clear, communicative language - a joy to read

Wow, Sandra, I'm impressed. You have dug up so much information about the jellyfish. I have learned a great deal about this creature. It's interesting news that it is believed if a human baby was born in space, it couldn't cope with gravity.
I don't know if you've been to Australia. But the authorities put out netting so people can swim. I've seen a lot of the lethal blue jellies on the beaches there being careful not to step on them.
I love this series. Very well written and so informative. Kudos to Graham, again, for his wonderful drawing. A big hug. Ulla xxx

Thank you so very much for the lovely six stars, Ulla! After researching these little lovelies, I'm staying right out of the water. The bath is as far as I'll be going! LOL. Big hugs, dear friend, have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

I guessed this one wrong. Jellyfish never even crossed my mind. I've seen them on Animal Planet. They're fascinating, especially the immortal. When you get to O, there's an animal that was featured on Ancient Aliens. The octopus has nine brains and three hearts. The theory is that it doesn't belong on Earth. I don't know about that, but it's an amazing creature.

I wonder if that might be true? I'm going to look that up. Eric and other's will love that bit of info. Just like my 'moon jellyfish' and immortals, I'm trying to find the facts that will really interest them. Thank you so much for your lovely, and revealing, review, my friend. I do so appreciate what you have to say. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Another excellent poem for your grandson. I love these, but you already know that. Great job yet again. He is sure to love it just as I also loved it.

Hello Sandra!
Another delightful posting = informative and fun. Your grandson is one lucky young man!
If I may - and this could just be a "hitch" between American and British grammar, but "none" equals a singular indefinite pronoun. Thus,
in the following line from the poem section:
and none of them have (has) any bones = not one of them has any bones - compliments of the Dominican nuns and their teaching! :)

Again, just a suggestion...
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much, Diane, that was so nice of you to point that out. I've corrected it. I always get that muddled up, but after reading your explanation, I don't think I will again! lol. I really pleased you enjoyed reading this one, I was so surprised at what I found out in my research. Have a lovely week, my friend. :) Sandra xx

I'm just wondering what it would be like if mankind had the "lifespan" of an immortal jellyfish. Would our intelligence reset each time we regressed back into our "childhood", or would our skills and abilities be built upon with each successive life. Indeed, is that what happens to the jellyfish? I just hope we don't unlock the secret from them at any rate. We're troublesome enough with the hundred or so years we've got now. Can you imagine troublemakers and pranksters living for thousands of years? LOL!

I totally agree with you. Although, scientists are trying to find out their secret to pass on to us. I say leave well alone! Thanks, my friend for the nice review. :)) Sandra xxx

You're welcome. And the scientists are idiots. We can't become immortal. At least not until we can find cures for cancer and war.

Jellyfish...however beautiful, I don't like them when they appear in swarms near the Mediterranean shores. Depending on the temperature of the seawater and the wind direction there can be quite a lot of them where people like to swim. The sea is almost empty of human swimmers if the jellyfishes are occupying the water! They cling to the body and sting!

Again I enjoyed all the information you gave us. I didn't know there is even a killer between the species. This box jellyfish sounds very dangerous. I hope they don't show up in the Mediterranean Sea!

You wouldn't see me in the sea now that I've learnt all this. I didn't like them before, and like them less now. But that doesn't take away how clever they are. Thank you so much for reading this one, Marjon. I'm glad you enjoyed the information. :)) Sandra xx
