(fix awkward sentence: the size of your little fingernail, makes them hard to spot, though) This is wonderful--jammed with fascinating facts and a delightful bonus poem to start. Adults will thrill to read this too. Cheers. LIZ

I don't think I'd swim in the ocean again if I lived in Australia! lol. Actually, I'll rephrase that, I'm NOT swimming in ANY ocean! Thank you so very much for the lovely six stars, my friend, and this wonderful review. Have a wonderful day! :)) Sandra xx

Loved this one! It sounds as if space flight was a real turn-on for the space jellyfish! You've come up with some fascinating facts here which I found quite absorbing. You've also given me another three hundred thousand reasons for not swimming in the sea!
I couldn't help thinking of a world leader or two when I read these lines of your poem:
"Some jellyfish have rows of teeth
but not a brain or heart,"
LOL

LOL! I don't think I'll be swimming in the sea again, either! lol. Thank you so very much for this lovely review, Tony, and all the shiny stars. I wonder if those world leaders are the same ones I'm thinking of?? :)) Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

So Jellyfish are some people I know, brainless, lol. I learned so much today. Your post is so informative yet very interesting. I think what I found the most fascinating was how immortal Jellyfish never die. That and their reaction to antigravity. How It caused them to reproduce. I just finished reading about their reproduction, it's quite fascinating. I had to find out after reading what I did about gravity. Some jellyfish's eggs sperm meet in the water then bed on the ocean floor where others start out in a female pouch and then released to the ocean.
This is very well-written, interesting, nicely done as always.

It's amazing how many people on here have 'jellyfish' friends!! LOL. I love the way you always go and look up some of the facts I write; that is what I want Eric and other children to do. There is so much more to discover and it's all interesting stuff. Thank you so much for the lovely six stars, and another of your fabulous reviews. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I am astounded at some of the amazing--and weird--facts I have just read. I already knew some jellyfish were deadly. The rest, I did not know.
This is a really informative, vividly descriptive piece.

Thank you so much, Janice! I'm delighted you enjoyed reading about these creatures. I found them really interesting, and it was hard to draw the line as to where I stopped. There are so many amazing jellyfish in our oceans. I won't be swimming in them anymore, though!! LOL. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra. I like the little poem about the jellyfish. I worked for a guy many years ago that I now know was a jellyfish. He didn't have a brain or heart either. :~)
They are interesting characters.
I used to think a Portuguese Man-o-war was a jellyfish. It's not. It's not even a single creature.

LOL!!! You are so naughty, Robert, but it didn't stop me howling with laughter! LOL. Someone else mentioned the Portuguese Man-o-war, and you're right. They are a close relative, but that's as far as they go. I found those really fascinating to read about. We live in an amazing world, my friend. Thank you so much for this fun review, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

Thanks for this incredible information Sandra, your ability to research is second to none, and your conscience is unsurpassable. I love this information, I knew about the box jellyfish, they are more prone to being encountered in the summer, so the swimming is to be avoided during the summer months, a wonderful episode my friend, blessings, Roy

What a lovely review, Roy, thank you so very much. I enjoyed researching the jellyfish, I was astounded at how much there is to learn about them. I so pleased you enjoyed reading it. Those box jellyfish are not very nice, are they! I wouldn't be going for a swim either. Big hugs, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

Great fun and well done. One minor editing note; I couldn't figure out how to read the first sentence about the Lion's Mane. Keep up the fun work! RH

Hello, MxDimplex, welcome to Fanstory! Thank you so much for this lovely review. The first thing I do is find out what are the most interesting animal I'm featuring in my ABC book, and then have a good read on the Google. There is so much to take in, these are incredible animals. I then like to make my own fact sheet up so that young people will (hopefully) enjoy learning about them. I'm delighted with your enthusiastic review, that was so encouraging. Thank you! :)) Sandra xx

Sandra,

I do not like jellyfish, my sweet and creative writer-friend.

It's been my experience that most jellyfish are not interested in making lasting relationships. They are straight psychopaths, with a complete lack of conscience and, certainly, no empathy for any unsuspecting victims who find themselves trespassing in enemy territory.

And far from being happy to learn that a brother, aunt or cousin has encouraged a swimmer to find a new place to play -- they pile on! Thus ensuring their less-than-friendly message is received and noted REPEATEDLY. Yeah, they're BIG on communicating with the other species in this world. Gotta love 'em.

Oh, wait.

No, actually-- you don't.

Fun piece -- simply reading through it gives me a tingle.

Thank you!

LOL! I love reading your reviews, Robyn, you have that special way of making me laugh out loud and have my husband asking what's so funny! Thank you so much, my friend. And, NO, you don't have to love them. You will never see me in the sea again! Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx
