I love this story, especially since I know what you are talking about since I have seen lots of them in an island in Cuba. You are offering remarkable information that I had no clue: I didn't know that they are on the being of extinction. Thank you for sharing , and Eric should be so proud with you:)

Thank you so very much for the six stars and wonderful review, Iza! I'm really pleased you enjoyed this one, I learnt such a lot, and think Eric will enjoy the idea of the 3rd eye! I think it would be useful if all mothers had them, that would upset the children!! LOL. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

What an interesting and intriguing animal, Sandra. Oh and a special thank you to Graham for the initial picture, I haven't found any iguanas here in Arizona, just dirt, cactus of all shapes and size, rocks, geicos and salamanders. I really learned a lot through this post about iguanas, well done, be safe, be well. Hugs and smiles.

Sandra,
One of the best things that I enjoy whenever you read one of your writings, is the simple straight forward way you talk to the children, Not up or down but to them, just as you have done here. Great job my friend, God bless

How interesting. Like always I learned a lot today. I knew they were cold-blooded but I didn't know that the extra skin helped keep them warm. I didn't know about their third eye either. I guess they would need the extra help, being so low on the food chain. I wonder if they somehow evolved from the dinosaur. They do look like the smaller version. Hmm.

I think you might have something there about the dinosaurs. They do look like them. I'm going to Google it and find out. Thank you so much for the lovely six stars, Misty, and this fabulous review. I do appreciate all the support you've been giving me with this project. Thanks, my friend. Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx

The iguana! Now isn't he an adorable animal when you look through his threatening appearance! I liked the whole descriptive part. Amazing how long he can stay underwater without breathing! I found an error:

"warm then" should be "warn them" (I suppose!)

I like these animals!

Thank you so much for finding that nit and telling me, Marjon. I never quite get them all!! lol. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one, the iguana is far more interesting than I thought he would be. I think the kids will love the idea of the 'third eye'. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Your ABC book for older kids is wonderful and a great idea. I know your grandson will love it and so will other kids. It's a great service to encourage their reading. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the six stars, Barbara, and for the lovely review. I'm hoping Eric's headteacher will take it for the children at his school. They are all like Eric with dyslexia. I'm going to read my Eric stories to them when they go back to school, (whenever that will be) Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra. I was wondering what the "I" animal would be. I thought maybe an Ibis. Your ballad poem description is quite well done. I always wondered why there is more than one Iguana. They are so ugly I didn't think they could get a date. :~)
Here is a typo I found: "...they need to warn "then" if an enemy is sneaking..." should be "them?"

Robert

Thank you so much, Robert for your lovely review, and for pointing out that spelling error. All corrected now. :)) I never thought of the Ibis, which is a shame, I like them and there is lots of nice facts to use. I might look into 'I' again. Thank you again, my friend. :)) Sandra x

What a fun addition to your book, Sandra. I enjoyed reading it. It contains so much info that I did not know. Kids will really like this one. The pictures are super. Your facts are well-researched and presented in a great progression. Thanks for sharing.
