Quiet slice of beach this Sunday morning; pretending, peacefully pretending to be my chapel."
It may seem strange, but I personally give two parallel interpretations of the text and divide it into two parts. In each pair of writing there is a natural descriptive part surrounding the writer, in which she physically immerses herself and is real. The terminal part of each couple, however, leads along her thinking path, towards something otherworldly, the search for her eternal rest, within her own chapel. I did like it! Great work!

Amanda, such a beautiful free verse poem. The verse 'playfully pretending,' that repeats in certain stanzas, rolls off one's tongue, or ones thoughts like an ocean wave would approach the shore. When reading your poem, I could feel my feet in the narrator's place, hearing and smelling the sea sounds. Beautiful work.

This story and the picture were a nice breath of fresh air this morning, as I isolate indoors. It is nice pretending to smell the sea air and feel the sand between my toes, one of these days it will be "for real."
