What great imagery!
I almost could feel your confusion. This piece is so thoughtfully written and organized in such a structural way. It's simple, but yet complex and sad because your too stumped to have yet figured a way out. Great poem! Happy writing!

I find there is always a period of time of massive confusion, when all the inputs are flooding in, as you so aptly say in your first line. Then when different pieces conflict with others the way to a clear solution is no mean feat.
This is a fine social commentary and your artwork well exemplifies the many different stimuli not appearing to mingle at all.
Great job and I wish you much luck with the Contest Committee.
