Thanks Rod for reading my poem and for the very nice review.
I had the opportunity to actually witness a family member being honored at the cemetery. I was doing fine until Taps was played...then most of us lost it.

A simple but telling memorial in this short poem. I don't think I've ever seen flags in an Australian or English graveyard, but it's a nice way of recognising the patriotism of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Arlington is an amazing place to visit. I had the opportunity to witness a family member being honored, and I was doing fine until they played Taps. I wasn't the only one with tears.
