This is a delightful, well crafted tone worthy of six-stars. Whether you win the contest or not should not prevent you from feeling like a winner with this excellent work of poetry.

    Thanks for your encouraging feedback. I haven't been winning much lately, but try to remain true to my own style of writing. I feel we have a lot of new, younger members now who are not at all romantic or lyrical. They tend to give 4 stars (good). hey are modern and witty. Sometimes dark and cynical. I am none of that - even when I was younger. It is what it is. I write for the joy of it. Thanks again for dropping by.

I love this, with the photo, it's beautiful; you have chosen the photo to exactly match your words. I could see this being in a picture frame on a wall.

" tree nymphs" I like that comparison to the butterflies-very clever, an excellent image given in this 5-7-5 poem, very well done and best wishes for your contest****kahpot

    Thank you for your kind review. These butterflies are also known as rice paper nymphs or butterflies - as their wings are very sheer and delicate.

This is a lovely cheerful poem with a lovely picture to match. Your words are engaging and they fit the Haiku pattern. The poem has a delicate quality to it.
