Hello Sally. This was an interesting read. In my Sunday school class, last year, the members wanted to discuss heaven. This was the approach that I took in teaching about heaven. Your description in the poem is very well done.

Thank you so much for the lovely review, dear Barbara. Heaven is a broad subject for many and their is a host of misinformation about it I believe. This is one of the most in-depth explanations of Heaven I've ever read, Sally. I love how you presented this and explained in detail each level. Your word choices are easy to understand on each level. The videos are great to add more substance to your well-chosen words, too. I enjoyed each one. (I wrote a poem about Comet SWAN). I love looking at the night sky (or reading about it). Every time I think how great and awe-inspiring it is to be able to enjoy it knowing that He made it for all. Best wishes in the contest. -I Corinthians 15:53- 53. " For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"
-I Peter 1:23- "for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God."
I see heaven as a spiritual world but a real spiritual world. We cannot be a part of the level of heaven in human flesh, only by the spirit. We are transformed into spiritual beings when we die or at the rapture. See I Thessalonians 4. Mortal flesh is corruptible, immortality in Christ is not. It is my understanding from the Scriptures that heaven is a perfect place, no sin is resident there since Satan and his followers were cast down to earth. (He is on a short leash though and reports to God. See the story of Job.) God will ultimately destroy Satan, create a new heaven and new earth, and all the places Satan once defiled with his presence will no longer exist. I look forward to the glorious time ahead with our resurrected immortal bodies and risen Lord in heaven above.

Thank you. So you do see Christ as having a real body, which He explicitly taught, and yet He was able to enter a closed room?
This is important for a number of
reasons not the least of which was His promise He would raise His own body from the grave. God bless, Dennis

A see Christ as tramsformed. He had to be flesh in order to become the sacrifice for sin. Those who saw him after he rose from the dead saw his glorified body. I feel we will look the same, and in some way, recognizable, yet with glorified bodies, spiritual in nature--non corruptible. Am I correct?

Yes, I believe you are. I get a little skittish about this because many cults deny Christ only rose spiritually.
And Christ specifically said He would rise bodily. His bodily resurrection is attributed in different scriptures to all three of the Trinity separately.
And as others have pointed out, all Rome had to do to squelch Christianity was to produce the dead body of Christ.
So we anticipate receiving our new forever glorious bodies like Christ any day now, just as Paul did;
?Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed? in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.?
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 NKJV
