Yes the media is a strong influence, too bad not usually for good. I really like your theme, it is a potent piece. I like your ending. Great flow and rhyme. Good presentation.

A very well-written poem about the current world events that have everything else on hold to sort out the virus that everyone is afraid of because of the brain washing of the media.

A very truthful and well written piece of work. Your poem flows very well, and has a wonderful rhyme scheme. It describes in great detail all of the perils that we are facing during this year of horror and terror.

Hello. I feel like our politics are pretty similar. Like the poem suggests, I'm exhausted with everything political. I've lived long enough to believe politicians were more for the people than they are now.
In some of the stanzas, I think you had to stretch to make rhymes so it didn't flow as well as it might have. It could perhaps be tweaked here and there.
All in all, it was a good poem, that evoked a lot of emotions of various kinds.

This almost made me laugh out loud, as you describe the second candidate to the high chair (lol):

Candidates are more suspected
Anything goes -- get elected
Do I know who he is? (lol)
I anticipate the circus fun on Thursday night when they get together for the second debate. I think I can save myself a cost of the ticket (lol).
Nice concluding couplet gives punch to the poem:
How do we wake from this nightmare?
It may be time to start to care
At least we can become aware
Once this is done, we'll have clean air

The whole world is in a bit of a mess right now and, of course, the United States have their share of troubles. There hardly seems a 'real' leader anywhere amongst those vying for selection.
