love this poem about the news and the crippling impact too much TV and media can have on one's mind, mood and sanity. Echoes a lot of my own thoughts. Lately I am turning off the screaming news about a two hour window and spamming most of my incoming email misiles as well. Just too damn much to take

Yes, let's please wake up. It is a grim future if we keep fighting and hating like our politicians do. There is still hope, I believe, but it will take someone of intelligence and character to start the trend and be a leader. We need to fire everyone and start over,lol. This poem a thinker makes...at least one with an open mind. Great job of capturing what most of us are feeling. A change is needed.

I like the mono rhyme quatrains and the quickness of the meter. This poem restates all we have gone through and are still going through this year. Sometimes it seems COVID will never end. I am worried about the census. What if some of the houses sent a count before someone in that household died of the virus? Maybe the census should be done after COVId has passed.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

If we believe absurdities
We fail to use our Common Sense
We then commit atrocities
It's time to drop all the pretense
If we dig deep within our soul
We will find love that unites all
The truth is not in some dead scroll
Faulty beliefs cause our downfall
We're Avatars of our Spirit
It works the same for all of us
The uninformed tend to fear it
Once acquiesced, life has begun
Our bodies are temporary
Our ego is the transgressor
The past goes to cemetery
Our brain is just word processor
We project scenes from Here and Now
Thought?s the Big Bang of our MindSpace
We can change them using know-how
To see heaven, Truth we must face
No experience is ever lost
That must be true to have memory
Spirit records without exhaust
We're only forms of energy
Our lives are like moving pictures
Each frame depicts a frozen thought
They are not meant to be fixtures
Many are just what we've been taught
If we take role of director
We can edit final version
Gather the truth as collector
To then begin our conversion
Cutting room floor for every lie
Discard the pains of ignorance
Behold Heaven with inner eye
That's what creates Deliverance
The question is who will attend
The world premiere of Honesty
It makes a path we can ascend
Ignoring it is travesty
Once we accept we're here to grow
Our projections become boundless
Our minds blossom by letting go
Reject the chains to make progress
Eventually we come to know
Our Holy Grail can run over
Truth sets us free to overflow
Excess will cause the changeover

I have to agree with De Ruiz, never take yourself personally, if you do, I'm not sure ofbthe ego, that doesn't quite, Christ said, it's not you they're persecuting it's me, He holds the sharpest, people don't like perfection, it reveals our own, flaws, if one can't come to grips with the flaws, it angers, "I'm not the one injuring this planet" ah but I am, it's not a collective, Just me! We've been going downhill for ages now, and I'm talking about the UK. America has its problems, just as we have. What can we do to stop it? I don't know. We are in the hands of morons and there is no escaping. The whole world is watching your elections, because the results don't just affect you. It will be an interesting event. :) Sandra xx

Your short and briskly timed stanzas breeze along at a very nice clip, they do not bog down with thoughts that cause the reader to question your meaning or your intent. Everything is out in the open and things move so smoothly that one is compelled to move along and not become bogged down with disagreement over a phrase or thought they might not agree with.
