I enjoy reading your poem, a free verse with rhyming. I agree with you on almost everything. I will prefer Dr. Jill Stein as my president over the current two candidates.
I'm watching a Danish TV show called "Borgen" on Netflix. It is a political drama and they have many more parties including a Green Party and a very good woman PM.

Good warning! LOL Yes, I read your comments first, and I can see why some (or all!) might take offense. I, alone in the world (and maybe other INFJ personality types) can see multiple sides to issues, so it was, to me, just entertaining.

Your poem makes several valid points. The rhymes are good and the imagery is great. You expressed your thoughts and feelings well about 'things' that need to be changed and 'things' that seem ok but could be changed. This year has seen a multitude of both.

Spending too much time watching the boob tube can make a person crazy. Just the news is enough to make your head spin. Then, of course, we have the Fake News as President Trump calls it. That seemed funny in the beginning but there really are stations that make down right lies sound right when they aren't. Great job!

It does sound like a nightmare and there seems no end to it just now and I heard your president is recovering from Covid? He is lucky. I love the four agreements and try and live my live by them and the one you mention here was the hardest to learn, but now I feel free from criticism! A poignant read, love Dolly x

I think your poem pretty much sums up how most Americans are feeling right now. The election is crazy, so is the coronavirus and the riots. But just keep praying. There are always bad times and what we find ourselves in right now is one of those times. So we just need to keep our heads held high. I also liked the quote in your author's notes.
