They do look just like ballerinas, don't they? I think that they're absolutely beautiful and I like your colorful, descriptive, and well placed wording. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!

This 5-7-5, Dancing Ballerinas, has the right set up and accentuates these fantastic blooms which I have never heard of before. Wow!

You've missed a treat! These are beautiful blooms and come in a variety of shapes and colourways, mostly pinks and purples. They grow well in the area where i live.

Hello my friend
A fine entry for the
5-7-5 A Flower writing prompt contest. Good syllable count. The lines connect grammatically so there is a nice flow. Good luck in the contest.

I cannot recall the name of this flower, but I love them! You accurately capture their image with this metaphor. For a very simple poem, it is beautiful and descriptive.

Do you know what they are called? I had some in a hanging basket 20 years ago or so, and I have not seen them since. I would love to track some down, however.

The plant is called Fuchsia, as in the poem - there are lots of different colours (mostly in pinks and purples) and sizes from tiny to quite fluffy.

Beautiful artwork choice and presentation. Good alliteration with budding-ballerinas-breeze. Good rhyming from -ing. Overall, excellent visual imagery created as you are creative. Nice work. Good luck in the contest. Happy Mother's Day :)

Thanks for this affirming review!

I once read a poem that compared barb wire to ballerinas - look closely and you will see it is true. These are much prettier than barb wire - and what a sweet 5-7-5 flower poem. budding, ballerinas, breeze - these words "play the music" so to speak.

That's a bit of a stretch for me, about the barbed wire, but i can see how that metal twist could be a bit like a dancer.
Thanks for reviewing!

Purple definitely is 'in' with your contest entry. Great alliteration with your beautiful 'budding ballerinas' dancing in the breeze. A perfect photograph ties it into a nice package for this contest.
Good luck.

Purple is my favourite colour - that's why I like fuchsias so much.
