Are there words more uplifting than this poem? It's lovely. I especially love the line "...believe you're important to your friends, and families'. I wanted to include a similar sentiment in my poem but decided to go a different direction. It's so important for people to know they matter. Great work. Good luck!

Having a strong self-esteem is so important. You've made some good points in your poem.
I picked up one spag if that's okay:
Believe in yourself,
do something uesful, - spelling - useful

This was sure uplifting and made me feel good. It was a shining example of optimism and positivity. I enjoyed that I could "be a fireman" if I wanted to. That made me smile. Good luck in the contest. -January L.

I'd like to see a bit more imagery - don't spell it out so much - "do something useful"... instead, perhaps, give me an example of doing something useful. What would that be in your life? Make it real. Does this make sense?

We need words like this more often for everyone
Our self esteem is down to the ground
