I think that is incredible that your friend could read the Bible and not much else. The Bible has so many difficult words in it for a dyslexic person to manage, he truly must have had God's hand guiding him. What a wonderful thing! This is an interesting piece. I didn't realize their brains were so little. With the large bodies, I just assumed it'd be big. Now I'm wondering how big an elephant's brain is. Nicely done.

Thank you so much for reading my letter D, Misty, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Your question about the elephants brain had me intrigued. This is what I found out.

It's about 4 times the size of humans, but in ratio, humans are bigger. Then I checked the ant's brain. Just thank the Lord they are so tiny. They are the most intelligent insect on Earth and would most probably be more intelligent the us if they were our size!
To compare them, the brain must have been the last thing that was developed when the dinosaur was around, and only grew as we became more inquisitive. Most interesting!

That is very interesting. I too did some research it was very interesting. Some was shocking. My dog's brain is the size of a lemon (they're large dogs) and my cat's is just over an inch. Like the dinosaur, I thought they'd be much bigger than that. hmm.

cats could read they would be most upset being told their brain is smaller than that of a dog! lol. xx

I love to research things. My google home is a godsend. Well most of the time lol. I sometimes get aggravated trying to figure out how to word something. Often hearing I'm sorry I can't help with that. grrr. I'm sure a cat would argue they know how to use their brain where a dog doesn't.

I'm with you on the Google home, I get that a lot, and have to think of different ways to ask the question. I thought the computers were supposed to be brainier that we are!!

Guess they're programed to speak AI and not humanese lol.
One time I casted moaning sounds from my computer to it, in the front room. Scared my son to death, lol. Do bird sounds for my dogs it drives them nuts. Had them howling with a wolf once. I come up with all kinds of ornery things when I'm bored.

My son deserved it. He put a rubber snake in my bed. He should know by now mom don't get mad she gets even. He's just lucky I couldn't figure out my original plan, how to cast a scene from the Grudge to the TV. My entire family is pranksters' always trying to one up the other. They didn't get that from me, lol.

This is really delightful, Sandra! And I'm looking forward to when you publish it. I like your information in your poem and prose notes!
I'm looking for ways for my youngest granddaughter to pick up on reading. The older two were reading by five and my own kids reading before four. It's almost expected in Kindergarten these days with elementary students typing reports on computers.

Thank you so much for your really lovely comments, Helen! I can understand you trying to find ways to help your granddaughter, we hate to see them struggle. Eric was so frustrated watching all his classmates move ahead of him, in fact leaving him way back in his reading. It wasn't until after his parents found a school for children with learning difficulties, that he revealed how other children called him a dumb idiot. That broke my heart, and Chris and Sue's. Now he's at a school that specialises in dyslexia, he is a different lad. Two years ago, he asked me if I would write a book about him, having him as a hero. I know where that came from, now. That was when I began writing, Eric's Epic Adventures, and his school has copies of the books. I want to make this project as good as I can so the the school will accept it as well. I hope you can find a way to help your granddaughter. It was truly wonderful to see the smile on Eric's face when I presented him with his first book. I'm a big meat eater, but I can't say it's helped much, lol. A snooker ball? I was surprised you didn't know that, but Graham said you'd know it as pool. I don't even know if I've spelt that right. Snooker has a larger table and uses more balls. It's really populour here.
I added some more pictures of dinos for Noah and Eric, :)) But Graham's still had to be on top, LOL he is so chuffed. Honestly, do boys ever grow up? LOL. Some interesting facts on dinosaurs. My grandkids went out yesterday in the cold ditch water and collected some frogs and tadpoles. Science class you see. Ha, ha!
