I'd say you've done your father proud. Finding and developing one's unique voice is the single most important accomplishment for any writer.
Your voice is your muse . . . your fountain of creativity. Without a voice, one merely mouths the words.

Thank you. My father instilled in me to be resourceful and individual. I was a bit different and Dad was staunch in making me believe that was OK.
