So, not only has Mackenzie's place been ransacked but she has been told she's dead! But I think if Bill, Logan and Jose have got a say in this, that's not going to happen. Edger made a great recovery, except for wanting to go to the loo all the time. Beautifully written dear Barbara, blessings, Roy

I didn't realize you were a first-grade teacher, Barbara, that must be a real challenge online! Do you ever go to work half-dressed? Or do you do Pajama Friday now? Do you go by your student's homes to say hello from the sidewalk and share a story? I've seen so many teacher stories here of incredible teachers. Of course, I have no idea what kind of setting you're in, perhaps you aren't in an area where that kind of thing is possible. I do hope you're having as much fun teaching as I am reading this story. :)

It is a challenge to teach first graders on-line. I am always fully dressed. I raised four boys and always felt I should be dressed around them. I only have one home now. My school district won't allow us to drive around our students' neighborhood. They feel its't risky. I often read them fun stories by computer and play games with them. Thank you for the kind review.

This was a "different" chapter. Drama and emotions and learning more about people. A few spags and suggestions. "Well, I guess I'd (better)start cleaning up."

OR
"Well, I guess I'[d](ll} start cleaning up."

I'll give (it)to Bill when we see him.

McKenzie answered her ring(ing) phone.

Thank you for the catches. I made the corrections. One of them I changed as I was posting. Should have left it alone.

Hi Barbara, I coudn't agree more with Logan. Mckennzie could certainly be more open with her feelings. She is positively reserved with everybody.
I just found a small thing:
"I found one in the den. I'll give to Bill when we see him. = "I found one in the den. I'll give it to Bill when we see him.
I love the story. All best. Ulla xx

Nice chapter, thank God Edgar is ok and Logan can continue with his romantic approach with Mackenzie. I hope you get the attackers in the next chapter. Thank you for sharing.
