Hello Mrs Sandwich, I see US is battling anarchy. The good stay home and the rebels bring out guns...fools! We have many butterflies here Linda, representing new life. How are you all? Love, Kace XXX

I wish we did have more here...my daughter has a tree that draws them in...but even it doesn't get as many as it once did...we are doing well so far...it's one day at a time...I went to the store to pay my Sprint bill...4 girls behind the counter...not one with a mask on when I got there...but 2 put one on a couple minutes of being there...had one on when I walked...but took it off on the way out...stay safe...and say hi to Toby Dog for me...much love sugar cube...xxoo

What is a sprint bill? I thought you had to pay for running...hee, hee. My care took me out today! Whoopee, I only go out with them. Our borders are still closed, some restrictions lifted. There is not one case in my city. Hey, look up Maryborough Queensland Aust. You will get a look see where I live, eh? Very historical town where the author of Mary Poppins was born. Much love and keep safe. I saw the men with AK 47's rioting over there. Stupid those gun laws. Bless your cotton socks (sox) :-) XX

Sprint is my cell phone bill....LOL...so glad you were able to get out today...I get out to shop...mostly food...but pretty much everything here is open now...but you have to wear masks if you go into any stores...or place to eat...they can open 25%...and they have to be 6 feet away from each other...but you can go in and eat sitting down...

as far as gun laws sweetie pie...as long as people can hunt with them...my family are big hunters....NOT ME...and their not aloud to kill anything if I am here...but they are a big family...and they use the meat for everything...I won't eat it...but they love it...they make hamburgers from deer...and ribs from wild pigs and hogs...I know it has help them the last three months...meat it cost so much here...I love Mary Poppins...love the movie...much love back at you...and you stay safe too enjoy the fresh air...smiling big back at you...God Bless..

We only have drive-through takeaway. Restaurants should open end of this week. I think Trump is nuts letting people go back to their lives - so dangerous still! Don't forget to go online and pull up Maryborough, Queensland Aust. Much love, Kace XX

Kace, it's not the president...people are sick of others blaming our president for things he hasn't done...he is more loved here than not...and most who don't like him didn't like him before he got in... the states all make their own decisions on what goes on with the virus...and that is how the people like it...because each state thinks different...he tried to talk Georgia out of opening there doors...but they said they were going to anyway...it wasn't his call...people needed to get back to work...
he did set down laws and rules that have to be followed...no one can go into a public building without a mask on...and some other things the business has to do...one state people treated the store employs...so the manager said just to let them in without the mask...stay distance...he wasn't going to let his employs get hurt because of the law...I live here...I know the things he has done for people...all the lies he had to go through coming and getting into the White House...and so do the better part of our country...we're all waiting for Nov...much love to ya...xxoo

I really shouldn't comment on Trump. Two things I don't normally get into, politics and religion. I am just gobsmacked at your death toll. Our Govt controls each state individually. Each state has a Premier who controls our comings and goings. We don't have a President over all. Yours is such a big country. We only have 7 states. We do have a Governor General who is really just a figurehead. She is under the Queen, gives out medals, opens parliament etc. This Sunday we are allowed to have five family members in home. We have no new cases. It has been tough, but thank goodness it has worked well. Hugs my friend, love, Kace & Toby.

like you sweetie pie I don't like to talk politics and religion....every one is different...as it should be...I'm glad their letting you have 5 family members come in....finally...things are still in the air here...but it will pass...we have a lot of people here...bigger hugs back at you my sweet friend...and hug Toby Dog for me...love you both much...xxoo

Went out on my scooter today. Had some shopping to do. So nice to have wind and sun in my face. I haven't been out for 3 months! The girls usually take me in the car/wheelchair. I felt like doing my own thing. Paid for it with physical pain - but hey, I did it. How is mum going? Love, Kace.

she is fine...driving me nuts...but fine...LOL...sounds like awesome day out...I wish I could have joined you...but Florida is good...you can go anywhere here...masks are your choice...distance isn't...LOL...they ask that we still keep our distance...and people can understand that...

I'm so sorry to hear sweet you that you paid for your day out with physical pain...so just start off easy...my niece has one of those exercise bikes on the front pouch...so when I talk on the phone...I go peddle on it...LOL...think I lost weight...LOL...OK!!!! I'll talk to you later...much love...xxoo

What a beautiful picture, Aussie. I enjoyed your well-written acrostic. Your lines are filled with great imagery and great rhymes, too. I like the idea of the new life in the butterfly contrasted with the dead flowers. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

Hi Jan, A few reviewers were confused over my poem. One didn't know what ER was = Elizabeth Regina. Queen Elizabeth took the name when she became Queen of England after her father died, she was only 24. Regina means Regent, ruler of UK and other commonwealth countries like ours. Thanks so much for reading, at least you got the gist of my poem. Love, Kay.

Hello Aussie,
I pray you are doing well during this pandemic in Australia. What a beautiful photo of this monarch butterfly. The colors are beautiful. I have painted several pictures of some lovely butterflies. This one is simply breathtaking! God's creatures are awesome. I like how you are warning the butterfly of the unwanted virus? Well done. I agree to leave the Covid-19 in the sun. Good job and luck with the contest! Thanks for sharing. Happy writing:-)

Hi Joyce, Fanstorians seemed to be confused over my meaning. The butterfly is speaking to Queen Elizabeth about the Covid19. I used the monarch butterfly to coincide with the Queen (monarch) of England. If you want some great snaps of butterflies, go to Bing and type it in; you can then download the image. I too am an artist, thanks for reading. Blessings, Kay.

That's quite an accomplishment, creating an excellent poem and acrostic, in the same offering.
Pardon my ignorance, but who are ER and Regina?

ER is the Queen's name for Elizabeth Regina. Regina is latin for ruler.
i do hope you have heard of Queen Elizabeth? You made me smile. Thanks for reading Ogden!
reply by Ogden on 02-May-2020
Of course I've heard of Queen Elizabeth, Aussie. She's an ocean liner. What's that doing in your poem, anyway?
reply by the author on 02-May-2020
Ha, Ha, Ha, you are a nutcase Don. Aust is a Commonwealth country and the Queen is still head of our country. And so, the poem goes like this: the Monarch butterfly flies to the Queen of England to discuss how the COVID 19 can be killed, following me so far? Heads up now, they agree...the sun will kill the virus. Er, got it? You intelligent people can be like Dumbo the elephant sometimes. Greetings from Australia and thanks for your reply! :-) Kay.

A very well-written Acrostic poem about the delicate monarch butterfly with her beautiful colored wings that likes to visit the Spring gardens with all the flowers and home to choose from.

A fine poignant acrostic here and butterflies are unaware of the dilemma we are facing, but here you give them a warning, I expect the heat will kill the virus, fingers crossed, this is a fine nature write, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Hi Kay. This is very well done. I like how you have sectioned the rhyming acrostic into three parts. I wouldn't know a butterfly egg from any other critter's egg, except maybe a chicken, but that's too big. Hugs, Marilyn

Hello my friend Marilyn, thanks for reading. Butterflies eggs are miniscule, they lay them on our veggies. At first they are in a cocoon, a green grub with eyes on their rear end to fool the birds from eating them. Much love, Kay. XX

OMGosh. Nature is weird, isn't it? There's a reason for everything.

I like how you use questions in you poem and make it feel like a conversation with the butterfly.
Butterflies are such beautiful, delicate creatures. Like you, I delight in watching them and believe they are a great representation of new life. Life will go on.

Hello Kace, this is a good and very topical acrostic - good entry to the contest. I agree, this horrible virus that is terrorising the world does not like heat - so hot sun could be a blessing. Hope you are bearing up - I think most of us a weary of solitary confinement LOL! But we are alive, so many are not. Take care - stay safe. Love Dorothy xxx

Hello Dorothy, Thanks for reading. Yes, we have cabin fever but we are alive. Aust. hasn't suffered as much as UK. Depression has taken its toll on so many. Hefty fines for breaking the Govt. rules. Always the idiots. At least you can get into your spring garden? Love, Kace XX
