Powerful tale well told. You pull no punches--good for you for speaking so eloquently on this subject and for sharing the delight your granddaughter brings. Cheers. LIZ

Hello, my friend. I think the protester was trying to get on TV. They succeeded, it was all over Facebook and the news in Tennessee. Many thanks for your kind words!
Have a great day and God bless.

Sometimes comments and actions get so bad I'm embarrassed to call myself human. I'm sorry to hear about Shynoa's condition, but there are thousands of special needs children and adults out there whose lives should not be sacrificed because they are "weak."

Hello Mike and THANK YOU for weighing in.
I've seen comercials that say something along the line of, "Why should Millinials care about the Coronavirus?" and I am horrified that they NEED a commercial to inform this generation of people why they should CARE. So pathetic. Makes my heart cry for them and for those who love them.
I think we will recover physically (if we continue to be careful) and financially, although that will take longer. But societally? Not too sure about htat one...
An infected person walks by while walking out of >>An infected person walks by while (you're leaving)>>Reduces repetition
That was the only suggestion I could come up with, try though I may. :)
Great read, great aruement to care for 'the weak' among us.
Blessings and please stay safe. And feel free to raise your voice! The angry do it, the evil do it and the righteous should.

I so agree with you here. People want to get on with it, but at who's risk! We have waited this long, surely we can stay home a little longer. And what about the second wave. It will happen sooner than later because of the lack of patience and caring for one another. Good for you !

I can't believe anyone could be that selfish and ignorant. I work as a health care aide, and the people I look after are elderly and disabled. I wouldn't sacrifice a single one of them for anything. They're all precious, and their lives matter. Not to mention the true ignorance of the statement. Young, otherwise healthy people are dying too. They have no idea who they'd be sacrificing. Perhaps one of their own family members.

Your rant is perfect and right on the mark! Some people are becoming so self-centered, I am ashamed to call myself an American. You are a great spokesman to call us back from the brink of insanity!

Hi Mike. I have not seen anything like the sign displayed here for your essay. Fact is, we DO have to open the economy soon or it will collapse. If we cannot reopen soon, there will be shortages of everything.
China is getting exactly what it set out to do in the first place by releasing this virus, it has turned citizens against each other and in our own confusion is escaping the blame that should be heaped on that country for letting the virus loose on the world. The real culprit here is not your fellow citizens, but China itself who doesn't give a diddly about anyone else. Marilyn

You have made some very good points in your discussion story. The things some humans do whilst in a situation this dire are horrible. They must realise, being stuck inside is not ideal for anyone, not just them!

Bravo, Mike. I cheer you on because I am one of the weak ones. I am not ready to cash in my chips as yet. Let's give the man the benefit of the doubt and think that he was trying to emphasize what opening Tennessee would do. I hate too think anyone is that calloused. Good job, Nancy:)

You tell this story of the weak with plenty of emotion. There really is a sadness to your voice. My nephew just became a dad in this epidemic, so I feel your description of the newborn baby and the parents worrying about the baby. Desperation sparks frustration. We are seeing that now. My heart goes out to lots of these small business owners too, who are losing their business with little or no meaningful help from the government. What do the politicians care? They don't have stock in small businesses. They have stock in Amazon, which is going to thrive in this environment. estory
