I love it I love it. Perfectly done and the combination of poetry and prose makes all the information very well done. Nice and I am interested in the unusual letters coming up

Thank you so very much for this wonderful, fun review, Barb. I'm trying to find as many fun things about the animals I choose. It's really interesting and I'm enjoying doing this. I'm so pleased you are too. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Awe, Sandra, this is a wonderful new addition to your animal alphabet. I know I should write about your lovely contribution, but you've triggered an old memory.
Back in 1977 I came to Tobago for the very first time. As my then husband and I were driven up towards the north of the island we heard this high pitched singing which we assumed was from a bird, A bit strange though, as it was close to midnight. In the end, I asked our driver, who was as black as the night, what bird it was. He laughed out loud:"Oh no Ma'am dis no bird, dis land crabs. Live in holes in de ground."
Well, I had learnt something new. A week later one of the locals cooked us a delicious meal from them. A story I have to write one of these days.
I'm sorry, I got carried away. I love the drawing Graham has made. And your addition is great. A big hug. Ulla xxxx

I didn't see that in my research, that's really funny! Crabs singing, I know that make a clicking sound, but not singing, lol. I love it. Thank you for that, Ulla. And a big thank you for reading letter C! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

We had a two crabs in a fish tank, along with fish. One of them we named, Crabby Crab, because his personality was, you guessed it crabby. If a fish swam to close to him, he would strike out. I think a couple of fish did it to tease him. He as fun to watch. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Aw. I loved your story, Barbara, Crabby Crab, LOL, what about the other one? Was he just Crab? LOL. Thank you for your lovely review, my friend. Big hugs. :)) Sandra xx
reply by barbara.wilkey on 22-Apr-2020
Yes, he was just a normal everyday crab. LOL

LOL! I bet his mum thought he was special!!! LOL.
reply by barbara.wilkey on 22-Apr-2020
I'm sure she did. My boys used to say when I told them 'I love you', they would answer, 'you have to, you're my mom.' Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, aren't they the cutest? I had two! and I love them to bits. xx
reply by barbara.wilkey on 22-Apr-2020
Yes, they are. I only have one still at home. He's 27. I don't think he'll ever leave. LOL Anyway, every night I go in his room and kiss his forehead good night and tell him I love him. He asked, "Mom, why do you say every night that you love me." MY answer, "I don't want you to forget it." His respond, "How could I? You say it constantly." My reply, "That's my job as a mom." His comment. "You don't need to be such a good mom."

Aww! I tell my boys I love them all the time, and my brother. Then I wait for them to say it back!! LOL. That's right, it is our job!

This is such a kind and good idea for you to do! I did not know that many facts about crabs, so thank you for that! Such a pleasant and lighthearted read. I will be staying tuned for the rest of the alphabet!

The top picture is cute, more relatable to a child I think. This one was very interesting. I learned a few fun things too. How they communicate and hide from their enemies. Didn't know about the spider crab either so I looked it up. Did you know it can weight up to 42 lb and is a delicacy in some parts of Japan? It's notorious for causing injuries. Great job as always.

Thank you, Misty, for your lovely review. I'm going to put all Graham's drawings on top now. Those spider crabs can stay in Japan, I don't think I want to come across one. That's heavy! I'm glad I've sparked your interest in crabs, lol! Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Very well done Sandra. And thank you Graham for your picture, it was creative and catchy and I agree so much cuter. I really learned quite a bit of history regarding the various crabs. I do think this is a wonderful way for Eric to learn. Be safe, be well.

Sandra, there you are again with another funny animal to present to me. The crab. Indeed a remarkable sea, ocean, or land animal. I didn't know they were omnivores or that there are so many varieties, more than 4.500!

Again a lovely rhyming part for the children. This was such a nice initiative!

I like Graham's picture better, too! I am not much of a fish eater except what grows in our lakes here. Some people like to eat crab and lobster. Not me! This was a nice story for ERIC and a good learning tool as well! What a wonderful grandmother he has!

Thank you so much, Drew. I hope Eric will like it. I'm trying to find the facts about the animals/fish etc that will be fun for him to read as well. It's a fine line between young children and Eric's age, just turned 12. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xx

This is a very nice and well written poem about the crab. I think it is so neat that you are doing this for your grandson, Eric. I know this will be special to him. I have done many poems and stories for our grandson Greyson. I still do some at times. Thanks for sharing! love and blessings, Teri

This work has reached the exceptional level

Ah, so a crab gathering is a cast party? Somehow that seems very appropriate.

I like how you use the lilting poem to lead into the meatier facts. Sort of like a spoonful of sugar. I hope your grandson enjoys these bits of natural history and science.

Perhaps you have another book in the offing?

Hope you're staying well and safe.

Peace, Lee

I think I was reading your fabulous story while you read my alphabet letter. Thank you so much, Lee, for that shiny six and the fun review. I'll publish the book for Eric, but I'm not doing anything else with it, the same with his adventure stories. I'm too old to be messing about promoting. I just like seeing the smile on his face. Thank you for this, I really appreciated you thoughts. Sending you a hug, and please stay safe. :)) Sandra xx
