A flower speaks up, Sally? :) We all need to taste life and survive in this weather. They are working on some free aid for those small businesses. Maybe your thirst will be sufficed if only for a little while. Good Dribble Flash Fiction entry. My best to you and yours.

Thank you so much for your insightful review. I don't think anyone outside is any more than just a flower. We've had to apply for aid that has it come yet and we are still waiting. God is good though and he will supply our needs. Sending you my best today from the mouth of the little pink flower....

This made me sad because it made me think of the lavender I won't be able to grow. This stay at home thing just got in the way of me trying to kill, I mean not kill, this little plant. I hope you get some rain, even if it's just a little.

Lovely picture of a flower speaking up with its sad little face. I could almost hear it requesting water... Both the poem and the picture are unusual. Loved both!

Sally, I like this flash fiction written from the point of view of a flower that is thirsty for rain. I have never seen life from that perspective. Thanks for broadening my thinking.

Wonderful little Dribble Flash Fiction! And that Peony?? really does look a little sad:( I can't wait to get out in my garden Sally. My 21-year-old son is really into gardening too..just waiting on this impossible Wisconsin weather to change!

Thank you, dear Susan. I'm glad I sent you some rain kissed pink and cheer. I'm sorry for the cold and dreary weather. This is a lotus, I believe. The story came just by looking at the picture. Sending you my best today as always,
    Sally xoxo

This could be a rough metaphor or a beautiful story from Mother Nature's journey. You also are delivering a nearly hidden message of needing only enough for the day. I was just reading a section in
my Eckhart Tolle book today where he addresses out worrying that we don't have enough or we won't have enough. He also says if we stopped with the "what-if" we would be content. It is the chattering mind that tells us we need to worry. Well thought out.

Poor little flower... PLEASE!! ;) :) What a fun perspective offering for the Dribble, Lady Sal -- love the ones that make you look at the world just a little differently! ;) Yvette

This is an excellent personification flash fiction entry, Sally. The emotion is strong and elicits empathy for that poor flower. (We're not hoping for any rain around here...we've had more than enough!) :-)

Hi Sally, That was a lovely little dribble flash. I enjoyed it and I felt for the little flower who felt so very unloved and all alone. I'm sure after this a little rain and love will come her way. Good luck Ulla:)))

Oh, that poor little flower. Well, we've been very dry and I fear we'll be looking at a drought this summer. This brings to mind the people who are hoarding grocery items. If we share, we'll have enough for ourselves - that's my motto. Hugs, Lou
