I am so sorry to learn that your son-in-law had coronavirus and hope he has completely recovered. Thank you for sharing this quasi-hallucination. I am glad it helped you to cope with the unthinkable. Take good care of yourself- Joan

This is a very well written poem about the little pebbles. You used very good descriptive words and very nice imagery from the art work you chose. I am so happy to hear your son in law is recovering. You are all in my prayers. love and blessings, Teri

Your meter is great for blank verse. I guess the pebbles are symbolic of more than one thing, but the graphic helps explain it. Thanks for the author notes. I thought this line helped explain the anxiety of what happens when someone in the family is gravely ill: From there I watched into the endless night
Thank you for sharing.

Your strong sense of writing is just very marvelous and brilliant. My heart goes to your son i-nlaw. He will fully recuperate. My prayers are with him and your family. For the while, please, be safe. This season will surely come to pass!
My very best wishes.

Sorry about your son in law contracting Covid-19. Happy to hear he is recovering. It is on everyone's mind and yet I see couples on the news strolling the beaches and protesters in Michigan up in one another's space and faces demanding the state be open and I fear the ravages of a second surge as more and more grow desperate for money, desperate to get outside and mingle... I can only watch half hour of news these days...the anxiety and fear are overwhelming as we watch even our first responders struggle to get proper PPE. God Bless your son and your family. Be Safe!--Karenina

A beautifully crafted poem describing events going on today. Hope your son-in-law recovers fully from this dreadful virus. You have described it so well and using pebbles as you have is perfect! Wonderful picture you found to go along with it. Let's hope they come up with answers soon.
Hope that you are staying safe too. Blessings, Carol

This is such a poignant story as we innocently spread this deadly virus among ourselves without realising it and all around are dying. I hope all is well with your son in law, a fine and terrifying write front the heart, love Dolly x
