Sandra,
I like the mix of poetry and prose that gives a lot of information about bats. I thank bats for getting rid of misquitos. You have a lot of info in this chapter that is new to me.
Keep writing and stay healthly.
Joan

Hi Sandra, How interesting and can I have one as mosquitoes love me and a bat would be handy to sit around with me during summer and camping when I get bitten alive ( dont send a vampire though Ha Ha ) I find bats quite interesting we have them here in Australia in the warmer climates. A great summary and your poem is easy to read Good work Cheers Chris

Thank you for reading this one, Chrissy, that was so nice of you. I'm like you, if there is a mossy out there, it will find me. I did think about keeping a bat on my shoulder like Long John Silver does with his parrot. But, apparently, I wouldn't be allowed to! LOL. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Well it's good to see bats getting a bit of praise for a change. Your cute poem is a quick overview, but the details outlined afterwards are fascinating. I can't get over the average life span of bats, and I'm glad to see they have a social life (unlike us at the moment!)
I look forward to seeing what animal represents 'C'

Sorry for the delay but unfortunately internet can be spotty sometimes, Sandra. I really enjoyed learning about bats and the information you provided was educational and enjoyable. I did so like your husband's artistic creation. I eagerly await to see what 'c' will bring. Big hugs and smiles. Be safe, be well.

No problem, I'm just sorry you missed out on the payout. The next letter will be out on Wednesday, I hope you get paid for that one, lol. Thank you so much for reading this part, my friend, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Big hugs! :)) Sandra xxx

I like the concept of the book and the poem, inset drawing, snapshot, and included information. The additional data for adults seems a bit much only because the goal is the younger reader, and the extra publication costs might cause limitations.

Hello, Bill, thank you so much for this lovely review. I'm not putting that part in the book now. I've had mixed answers, but looking at it again it's not really something I'd want younger readers to think about, especially with what's going on in the world now. I'll keep it in on here, though, because it will be good for grown-ups to be aware of. Thank you for your input, my friend. Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx

HI Sandra, Eric will have these books for the rest of his life...and his kids as well...that is soooooo exciting my wonderful friend...and Eric's amazing grandma...and Graham his grandpa too...

I love your information on the bats...I have been reading about them a lot myself...I found that you get plagues from bats...it is worse than a virus...and I believe we are in a plague...antibiotics do kill them...I think that is one reason people have been dying...they tell people to stay home unless they can't breathe...and some die...when they are in the hospital they give them antibiotics...they should just be giving them out...this is just how I feel...very well written sweet girl...and I love your notes and story told...your top picture EEEEEEKKKKK...your bottom of...so sweet to the artist...well!!! beautiful girl...I'm going to bed...getting tired...sweet dreams to you...and say hi to Ian for me...everyone be safe...and take care...love you the mostest...Linda xxoo

Aww Linda, you have done so much reviewing with your poor eyes struggling. A little and often is far better than one big gulp! But that's my friend, you are a gem! Thank you sweet lady for reading this part, many people don't like bats ... can't understand it!!!! LOL. Yes, they carry so many viruses and are responsible for most that have spread around the world. A bit scary, isn't it? Trouble is, we need them to eat up as many insects as they do, without them, we'd be eaten alive by mosquitoes! Yes, Graham's picture is a lot cuter than the real one above. Okay, you're in bed, and I'm sitting here in my nightdress, so I'm off to have my shower now. Have a wonderful day, my dear sweet friend. Loads of love to you all!!! xxxxxx Sandra xxxx

I don't really mind them...but why do their bits have to be so deadly???...hmmmm...I really have been better with my eyes...I read less in the daytime...the one is still giving me problems...but when I get back up north I will go back to the eye doctor that did the surgery on them...I think Grahams pictures are better...the real pictures are to real...Graham's pictures would appeal more to kids...and that's in a good way...LOL...ok my sweet friend...have to get my shower now...sleep tight...love you soooo much...Linda xxoo

Love the idea of using alphabetic poetry is help with your grandson Eric. A cleverly written octave with rhyming on the fourth and eight line. Interesting fun facts and nice collaboration with you husband on the image. Well done.

Good morning Tom. Thank you so much for reading the letter B-Bat. I discovered many interesting things, that would have filled a couple of books about bats, lol. I'm so pleased you enjoyed reading it. :)) Sandra xxx

Sandra that is a very interesting collection of facts!! REgarding the paragraph about viruses, I think it depends on Eric's age, level of understanding and abiity to link ideas. At this time, during the pandemic it might be more worrisome to him.

Eric has just turned 12, he has a quick brain for algorithms, it's just his dyslexia that slows him down at the moment. But, he's not a quitter, and will get there. Thank you so much for this lovely review. I won't be adding that part the way it reads now, just letting people know that even though the do a lot of good, they do have have bad traits, too, and not to approach them. (or something like that!) Have a lovely day!

I think the fruit bat is interesting. High pitch sounds attract them I am told. I wonder if high pitch Oprah singers can make them fly. LOL.
Good one Sandy. You are doing a great job teaching these kids. I'm still a little kid.

You did a great job with your poem/info about bats, Sandra. I enjoyed reading it. Your poem reads well with good info that is fun to read. Your facts add dimension to your 'character.' I would put the part you questioned along with the other facts. I would add something like:

Although bats, are beneficial to humans, they do carry some deadly diseases such as . .

Thanks for sharing. Best wishes on your book/publishing endeavor. Respectfully, Jan

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Jan, and for that excellent suggestion of how to handle that part. I've had a mixed reaction to the question, and think you've come up with the best answer. I'm glad you read this one, and I'm even happier that you enjoyed it. Big hugs, my friend, and stay safe. Letter C will be posted on Wednesday. :)) Sandra xx
