Well, well. I don't know that social distancing in this particular instance would go over well at all. I know that many would crack under the pressure and give in to temptation and desire. Thanks for sharing this humorous and well written work. Well done!

Jeffrey, I am on the Vestry of the Church of Temptation and Desire! I would give in. That is why this script is a fantasy. Thanks for reading and writing and I hope I gave you a laugh -we all need it!

Enjoyed the read.

The Supervisor seemed to be wise beyond her years in her planning to make the best of a dire situation.

I loved the lines about the hotel desiring to assist in teh changes- being ever so friendly- along with the extra money.

Thanks for reading and the nice review. My experience is long is travel - I was a salesman - and those most accommodating often asked, "Which credit card will you be using?" The central idea was absurd, twin beds in a honeymoon suite, but once I got into out, I laughed as I wrote.

This is an ingenious Calling Poetic Script Writers! contest entry. Perfect for the times. Good luck in the contest. I wonder what newlyweds will do nowadays...

Thanks for the nice review. The premise of twin beds in a honeymoon suite is so absurd that the challenge was just to do it justice. I laughed as I wrote. By the way, after 42 years of wedded bliss, I don't remember much of the honeymoon, but I am confident today's couples will work it out...

You did the twin beds justice!

A sofa in a honeymoon suite, Reese? I mean, I'm asking as I've never been in a honeymoon suite. I more or less eloped... sort of... but my father really wanted me to get married in a church, so I eloped to the church. I just didn't have a big wedding... a bunch of people... or a honeymoon come to that! A sofa??? really???

My wife of 42 years listened as I read her this script and her reaction, "I should have thought of that!" Now that you mention it, we really did not have a "honeymoon", we were relocating her from New York where we met, down to Texas. So, we drove her VW. But, yes, we have stayed in a couple of honeymoon suites since and they are usually two rooms, a living room/dinette and the master bedroom. Nice, but not worthe the money to me... Thanks for your nice review!

Very cute and humorous. But I feel for the poor honeymooning couple if they really intend to follow social distancing on their honeymoon! Sad times for weddings and hotels and so many businesses. Enjoyed your script in verse. Hope you will write more scripts! Best wishes in the contest!

Thanks for your nice review. Yes, now I see your point. Sometimes my apostrophes dangle more than my participles... I do intend to write more of these when opportunities come - I really enjoyed writing this. My wife of 42 years listened as I read her this script and her reaction, "I should have thought of that!"

Very clever! Your stage directions were great for helping the reader keep track of who was on the phone with whom. The rhymes were great, and you concocted a scenario that enables us to find some humor in the midst of the surreal world in which we now live. Fun from start to finish!

Bless you, Mark, for the 6! I thought this might have 6 possibilities- I sure enjoyed writing it, but then, I am a man who laughs at his own jokes. My wife of 42 years listened as I read her this script and her reaction, "I should have thought of that!"

Haha... I bet you had fun writing this... possibly recalling your nights on the couch? I can visualize this on-stage; directions are clear and dialogue is effectively entertaining.

Hey, to make a leading writer laugh is a big day for a word abuser like me! Thanks so much. Glad you like it. And, yes, I had fun writing it and, as you might expect, my wife is not impressed. She has 3 lists of things to do.

Haha... that'll teach you! Men are stoopid - why did you show it to her? Women are vengeful creatures. That's why couches were invented (probably by a woman). I hope you find some fun while doing her 3 lists of chores.

You seem to enjoy my plight too much
There is a list for outside and such...
There is a list for inside, too...
And our RV for fun? Yes, a list for that too!!!

Very poetically put. All that work should put you in your wife's good books and keep you off the couch for a while (both because you'll be too busy, and also as a future punishment.)

I often say to my wife of 42 years, "Good men are hard to find!"
To which she responds, "I know. I'm still looking!"
Thanks for the review and good cheer. Good luck on your entry. Golly, I will hate to lose to a girl again!

It sounds like you and your wife deserve each other. Well done on 42 years together.
(I think the Romeo and Juliet script might win.)
Something I meant to mention: that script font is harder to read than a plain font would be.

What a script, direction, details, dramatic scene, in poetic flow of thoughts, brevity of expression, and realistic characterization with good state of taletelling; I enjoyed the read.
