Apart from your excellent writing, I'm so enjoying the historical journey you're taking me on while you reminisce about you early married years. Nobody will ever know exactly what happened prior to Marilyn Monroe's death, or I assume we would know about it by now, but I've never doubted that her association with the president had something to do with it.
Another great chapter with no nits that I can see.

I'm delighted that you are continuing to enjoy my story. There is a lot of history that we can only wonder about. It is fun to remember history that we have lived through.

Twins? Wow. (We have twins in our family and they have been treasured as well as my other grandbabies or great grandbabies.) Reading about the babe's arrival in your next chapter will bring much excitement.

Good bubbly baby chapter and politics. A great read as usual for some reason I missed this one. I relate to the sand box and the cats. Grandma had a sandbox at her place but we were forbidden eventually from playing in it for same reason you were hinting at. One spag.

This well-composed chapter particularly interested me because of the many events it included. Is that cute little girl in the picture Carol?

I'm sure both you and your Grandma were glad she stayed with you for that week before she became ill.

I like the way you indicated how historical events affected your life, as that gives helpful perspective for the story.

I especially like Carol's prescient "butter n' sisser!" response.

At the end, leaving readers wondering what will happen next assures desire to keep turning pages.

Overall, this book will be a fine legacy for your family. Well done.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. Yes, that is Carol in the picture. Thanks for noticing those typos. When I read over it, I sometimes for get to read the things that aren't a part of actual story. I appreciate you pointing out some of the things you especially liked.

You are welcome, Beth. So many things happen during decades of marriage, which usually are lost to memory unless recorded this way. Your children and further descendants will increasingly treasure your book.

On a related topic, I noticed some blemishes in that cute picture of Carol, as well as less-than-ideal focus on her face. You need to know that such things can be fixed, and I have both the skills and the software to do so. At zero cost to you, I'll do that with her picture and send the result to you as a downloadable file from a service I have. The improved image will be at 300 dpi, the standard required for printing when your book eventually is published. The picture later can be scaled to the size needed in your book. I used this method for images in my literary art book, as well as for other books I have helped some authors here at FanStory to publish. All I need from you is permission and your email address, which you should provide by PM because reviews and replies are public. -- Mike

Another amazing chapter! So very enjoyable to me! It reminds me of some of the things I went through. I didn't know President Kennedy was visiting Marilyn Monroe! Well done!

Thank you so much for the review and the lovely comment. President Kennedy had a roving eye. His brother tried to cover for him. There were rumors for a while that he might have had something to do with her death.

I apologize for not responding sooner. My eyes are so bad that reviewing or writing it impossible for me. There doesn't seem to be anything they can do for them and I have finally accepted that I will eventually loose the sight in both eyes.

Sasha, I understand. Please don't feel you have to respond. I know you can't see to read these long stories. I wish I knew how to heal your eyes. A writer needs to see. You need a computer You can talk to and have it talk back.

I can't wait to hear what comes next. I enjoyed the summary of world events. A man with a voice like Elvis. Wow! That would make me swoon. And talented with his hands. Easy to see why you married this man.
I've heard that about sandboxes before. Have to be careful about feral cats.

Pleeease tell me the twins arrived intact! Loved the touch about his habit of rubbing his hands till the skin seemed like it would come off. You masterfully interweave historic events with your personal drama. Nice work. Cheers. LIZ
