I appreciate your sharing the wise quote by Stephen King, especially during these challenging times when togetherness is very important. Thank you for your tribute to your unsung-hero siblings. I hope can find as satisfying a job as theirs. Best wishes- Joan

Hello w.j.debi
Why apologize for the space I noticed one thing I liked was it made me and ponder, and ask myself, "What in the world were you deciphering?"

Wow! Your brothers and sister are the unsung heroes of this unprecedented time in our history. The text your brother sent is worthy of printing out and pasting on the refrigerator.

This is a wonderful tribute to your siblings and the important work they do. And you are right about the postal workers, they don't get enough credit for getting our mail to us every day.

I really enjoyed this piece. Right now people are seeing the unsung heroes, and your siblings are indeed heroes. It is also very true that most people are looking for the bright side. I am glad you found yours. Keep well.

Hi, Debi
Thank you so much for sharing your 'musings'. You certainly have a very heroic, hard-working and generous family. That is a true blessing, and I'm glad to learn a little more about them.

These things are worthwhile musings. We certainly owe a lot to those who are in the think of things. I have a nurse daughter who is one of them. I also feel very bad for those who have lost their jobs wondering what happens next and will there be funds there to carry them through. Like you I'm thankful I've been given time to write by being forced to stay home. I really like the King quote and I also like the quote your brother sent. I can understand that thinking.

I think your piece captures that's sense of contrast between our feelings at present; fear at having no income, and fear at having to go to work in uncertain circumstances. I work in a supermarket so I know the feeling. What makes your piece is this personal approach; telling us the details of your brothers' work, how they have to go in, what they do, how they suit up in those hazmat suits and get mistaken for doctors. That last image is kind of transcendent; we see in real terms how important these people who are often taken for granted really are. estory

Hi estory,
Thank you for the analysis and the wonderful comments. It is a strange time for certain, and I do appreciate everyone who is helping things stay as normal as possible. Thank You for keeping the supermarket open, and food and supplies available.

This was a very sweet story. You have spoke about the importance of jobs that may have been underestimated in the past. We must never forget these events and appreciate them forever.
