I like how you build up to the end. I was thinking, even though he protested he could do such a thing, that he did it in the end. The coward hired a hit man. I have to say if someone harmed my children, I would gladly kill him/her.

Thanks for stopping by. It is indeed disturbing that killers can so easily justify themselves--and I find it unsettling that I can so effortlessly conjure such monstrous characters! The potential child- molesting scenario was construed in his evil mind by way of justification! Cheers. LIZ

Once again, a well written post that I missed the first time around. I have no idea how I missed so many. Oh well, at least I got to read it this time. I enjoyed reading.

Very well-written and truly entertaining. I like how you build it up. A perfectly normal conversation about boring reality crime shows using the same formula. Then it turns to perhaps justifying murder in the case of abuse or infidelity.
He detests brutal and savage killing.
But then the surprise, a quick clean shot in the head will do.
Brilliant!
Best wishes,
Mary

Yes, murderers, they are impossible for me to understand, no matter what somebody did to me I don't think I could, but to a loved, I'm not sure, perhaps I'd just want too...but wouldn't, well done liz, what a great test, blessings Roy

So he can't do it himself, no, that would be too terrible (and wouldn't dream of doing it) - and he could never do any bashing or unpleasant murdering. How ironic that he has a "guy" to do it all so very cleanly for him - and she won't know a moment's suffering. Very cynical post - and very well written. Great twist at the end.

You do a great job of drip-feeding the sense of menace using that classic device of a character talking about what somebody else might do to reveal what they've done. I love how he introduces more detail as we go, telling us he's started talking about his reality. Beautifully written.

It is a shame someone would mutilate someone they were supposed to have loved and had children with. That person are mentally sick in the first place.

We do not know anyone one hundred percent. We think we do. Or we think things will get better as we have their children. That we will love one another more. Which is false.

It does not take children to keep love in the relationship.

In reality, the children are caught up in the middle of hell on earth. Thank you for sharing.

Another funny one from the cycle how to get away with murder. When love is gone do we really need to break and kill? Thank you for sharing and good luck with your weitings.

That's really a shocking twist! All along, he seemed like a normal guy and the talk about the boring normal wedding and disbelieving the TV show stories but then we're shocked that the normal narrator is revealed to be a murderer. Scary!
