A very well-written poem about the garden delights we can find in a very well-kept garden, your choice the wild strawberry seems just like the thing I will enjoy too.

Thank you for being inspired by wild strawberries in Washington state and Canada and sharing this ensemble. I enjoyed your describing their texture as "sensual" and your use of "gem" and "wine" similes. Your concluding haiku was appealing as well. Cheers- Joan

This is great Alicia, a lovely long ode to the glory of the wild strawberry, I've never actually seen one, I've seen blackberries blooming in great profusion in the hills but never a wild strawberry. An excellent haiku at the end, ties up this delightful free verse, well done, blessings, Roy

Hi Roy! I tried a blackberries for the first time about a year ago. It was at a cafe (small french fruit tart with coffee). That was a sweet berry. Any berry blooming must be beautiful. You're nice. Thank you. God bless you. Hugs, Alicia :)

Love your description of this wild berry and how ( I think) you compare some of its enticing lure to that of the human "hidden gems" an excellent read and a very well written 5-7-5 to finish, very well done****kahpot

Love your poem which is two poems, a longer detailed one and a summary 5-7-5. Very cool! I looked at that picture and I don't think I've really seen a real wild strawberry now. The Russians have two different words for the wild strawberry vs. the kind one can buy in the store.

Hi Helen! The wild strawberries aren't a heart. The grocery strawberries are much bigger of a berry and you can find many hearts in a pint. Russians I have limited knowledge about, but might read up on the strawberries. Thanks for the tip and this review. You're nice. Thank you. Hugs, Alicia

This is excellent, Alicia. Bosch was quite a talented artist, even though his subject matter was diabolic and promotes much angst of thought when viewing it. Your focus on the wild strawberry is excellent. Sensual and graphic. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn! Bosch was wild himself. He truly believed in love, sex, marriage, tempations, Jesus to say the least. Life is miraculous. I was saddened to realize that Dali (surrealism), DaVinci (Mona Lisa) and VanGogh (ear romantic) bared similarities. I'm sure there were more... The musical butt was my favorite part of the mural. You're nice. Thank you. Hearts & hugs, Alicia :)

    God bless you
