Yep Mike there's nothing like a good cup of coffee huh! When things go wrong as they sometimes do, get a cup of coffee and enjoy the Brew! Did you love that little rhyme I did that just for you. Now hopefully soon there will be something good in the news but in the meantime keep that coffee brewing it's always there to relieve the stress. I certainly enjoyed the read.

A well written little tale of modern times that doesn't gloss over what's actually happening day-by-day, however sad it is that the most reliable relationship in one's life is with an appliance. I lift a cup to you in salute... ...ec

I like the story that makes it clear that you understand the importance of having a trusted relationship with coffee. Coffee is my close friend also. It is something good to rely on every day in these troubled times. Bill

Thank heavens for small mercies! In a world of disaster, political puffery and financial ruination, a cup of joe is the way to go. Aaaah! That's better.
Your story is well written and will appeal to many such addicts.

Good old reliable coffee. When all else fails, you cannot wake up, you need a bit of courage, or you just wants to smell and taste a good cup of Java, you know where to go. Salute!

This story, Caffeine Connection, has the one-hundred-word count and finds that the world might tumble, but as long as the coffee is still brewing, life goes on. I noted the use of the percolator, which doubles the meaning of something you can rely on.

I enjoyed reading this very much. I agree with your man, here, the whole world might be going to pot, but we'll be OK as long as we have coffee. Well-crafted and entertaining. Good luck in the contest.

-Good image.
-A well written story
that flows smoothly
with good description.
-I like the second paragraph
where the news is "bad, bad, bad."
-Good examples of it, too.
-A very good ending, as well.
-Good luck in the contest.

"Leaning back he raised his cup to the nearby percolator in silent salute." Give credit where credit is due.
What an accurate portrayal of today's newspaper.
I enjoyed the read.
Best of luck in the 100 Word Story writing contest.
