This is very cute, clever, and very well thought out. You've done an excellent job expressing creatively how children learn their colors. Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

This was a fun poem to read, Mystery Author. Good job with the prompt. I can see youngsters learning their colors from things in nature instead of sitting and looking at pictures. Your rhymes are good, there is good flow, and the message is clear. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Respectfully, Jan

Dear Author, for the most part this poem is well written, but when I read it out loud to my self, the rhythm was rough, particularly in the last two lines. You are not restricted in syllable or word count for this contest are you?
If this poem were mine I would write :
" All the colors are there FOR YOU to see.

I was confused by your last suggestion, so I pulled out my notebook with all my scribbles. That IS how I wrote it, and then typed it wrong. I should have noticed because the line even looks short! Thank you very much!

These stanzas are oh so cute and told so effectively from that beautiful perspective of awe and innocent -as only children can accomplish -such a fun way to get acquainted with color
