Very nice poem and one can certainly relate to the written words. I see loved ones searching for love and it pains me when their relationships fail. It truly is like "the canvas bleeds away." The watercolor picture here is great too! Good job here!

This was very touching review to leave with Dean. As someone who paints and thinks when I paint, I can appreciate the human parallels with all those colours running together almost like human emotions and actions...sometimes beautiful, sometimes one big fucking mess. You never really know what you're going to get until the dynamics happen to be honest. But I guess you have to take the chance and be bold. Nicely done.
I'm sure Dean would be smiling at you over this one.
Many people here I'm sure would be missing him
Cheers P

Perfect image and poem about the end of a relationship. Excellent presentation. The rhyme and rhythm worked well with this piece. The last verse was very clever having water colours bleed from the canvas. Loved it. Thank you for sharing. ~Brenda

Great imagery in this poem , I can see the colors dimming as they run. I like the comparison to a broken love, torn apart and bleeding. It all works so well, as does the picture you included. Thanks for sharing.

You use exquisite imagery with:
"Just water colours
left out in the rain,"
This is a beautifully written and evocative look at love's power. It can certainly make us vulnerable. But on the upside, it is all-enduring. Thanks for sharing this poem written for Dean.

Dean Kuch will be remembered on this website as long as someone remembers him here on Fan Story. He gave so much to many of us, not the least was his talent. Thank you for recalling one of the few friends I've had.

What a unique way to describe those feelings and the picture also so representative. Sad and also makes you think. Very nice work and very sensitive. Marianne

This is an excellent free verse, I know that Dean's wife had left him, and I guess it was very perplexing for him, as it would for anyone who's been hit by that, Dean could be very fierce at times, we both had strong views which clashed at one time. Well done Doug, exceptional verse. Well done, blessings, Roy
