Yosemite is my favorite National Park, because of its diversity and relatively nearby location. We last visited in June, and it was as wonderful as ever from rock formations to wildlife and even an art display. I hope you get to travel to this "Promised Land" soon. I enjoyed your rhymed sonnet and matching pictures that brought back choice memories. Smiles- Joan

Yosemite is my favorite National Park, because of its diversity and relatively nearby location. We last visited in June, and it was as wonderful as ever from rock formations to wildlife and even an art display. I hope you get to travel to this "Promised Land" soon. I enjoyed your rhymed sonnet and matching pictures that brought back choice memories. Smiles- Joan

Hi Joan! I remember your visit with Bob. It's not a trip for a single woman like me. And even so, I'd probably take a hotel and cafe stay with sunrise to sunset adventures in the wild. I couldn't handle the tent campout, but I'm sure sleeping by a stream would be beautiful. Lolz. You're nice Thank you :)

We are not campers and enjoyed staying in the lodge and walking the trails each day. In the meantime, dream about the adventures in the wilds of Yosemite. More smiles- Joan

It's a gorgeous place and I'm glad you have experienced it. I visited two times. I like your use of the Biblical term of "Promised Land" (you have "Promise Land" but it's up to you.) I agree the God's presence is everywhere where we feel Him more, perhaps we can call it the Promised Land. I liked your discussion of the history of Yosemite in your poem!
