This is excellent, June. Unfortunately people know very little about history and if we don't remember it or learn it, we are apt to make the same mistakes again. Best of luck in the contest. Marilyn

The title draws the reader in here leading on to what are, in this short format of the One line poem, golden words of wisdom - a lot achieved here -thanks for sharing

Nice poem on one line. Very true. If you don't learn lessons from the past you are doomed to repeat your mistakes. Nice choice of illustration to accompany your post. Good luck in the contest.

June,
This apropos to the current virus pandemic. Your selected artwork is a great match to your one-liner.
While your text appears as two lines in my portrait iPad view. It is one line in the landscape mode. IMHO your presentation value to other FS reviewers will be enhanced if you center your text line.
Good luck in the contest voting.

A very well-written one-line poem about the lessons and events of the past that often repeat itself and we must take it on ourselves to take notice of the warning signs.

These are wise words June and we tend to repeat our mistakes and never learn as our history records our mistakes. A clever one liner for the contest, love Dolly x

So true!
We need to learn from the mistakes of
others, not only for our own good, but
to give meaning to the sufferings of the
past.
Foolish to ignore!
Wonderful entry!
Blessings...

Beautiful poem June. From the picture to the words which carry endless meaning. The wisdom involved opened me to think of how the past can be used to open the doors of the greatest gift of all... The human mind. Thank you. Keep the pen movin' forward.

This is so true. I hope that what we are experiencing now will never be repeated, It is costly, both in lives lost and and cost so much in our economy.
