Brigitte, it is such a delight to me to see you are back, although I didn't see this until just now! This little poem is cute and humorous and well done. I have missed your talent.
It doesn't look like you've been very active, so I just hope you have not been sick. I have been extremely bogged down for a few months with family members who moved into my office and made writing difficult, but now things are much better for me. I have thought of you often and hope you will post again soon. Hugs, MM

Welcome back.
I like the the alternative rhyme schemes in this poem about writers block.
I guess you are right about it keeping one humble.
I think making the last line separate and the all caps for HUMBLE help
show that lines importance.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Hi Brigitte,
Welcome back! I have also been trying to get in here more. But I have to wait my turn... my wife and my granddaughter want the computer, too. The schools are all closed here in New Brunswick, so little Alyssa is keeping up with Grade One lessons. And the computer is in the den, where the extra bed is... Alyssa's temporary bed while her mother is quarantined downstairs for 2 weeks. Anyway, you get the idea. I grab the computer when I can. Evenings are a wash-out because Alyssa's bedtime in 8pm.
Anyway, I know where you're coming from. I also have an "elusive muse to thank".
So have fun. Meet some new friends. And start writing some fantastic poems!

sweet friend...I have been off as well...I had some eye surgeries...I am better now...but one eye is giving me some trouble...but it will heal...I just wrote two poems sense I came back...but they don't come as fast as they used to...I'm sure they will in time...I'm looking forward to reading you again...God Bless sweet girl...thank you for letting us know...Love you...Linda xxoo
