"When you have a little trouble most people can weather that, but when it takes a while and you flounder long enough people, places and things tend to fall, drift and sometimes even run away." ... Oh so true!
Best of luck in the Share Your Story contest.

I think this is a good entry for the Share Your Story contest.
This short story is clear and well told, from conception to the telling.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.

That's right sister! He hasn't left us bereft and without hope. Oh no! He said that He would never leave us or forsake us. Is the Lord a respecter of persons? No, He isn't. The Lord was with Daniel in the lions den and He's with us. He was with the Hebrew children in the fire and He's with us. When the disciplines were in the boat and the storm came, He was with them, and He's with us. He's the same God! I enjoyed this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

Hello Brenda,
After the Fire is a story of bravery, hope and moving forward in life. It's
a true resurrection story that touches me because mainly it touched you. I love the photo and great title, "After the FIre." I hope in the future you get to see the film, "Things We Lost in The Fire." Since this title sparked something in you, try to watch the film one day. You lost something in the fire, yourself and that girl. The one you SAVED!!! Through the grace of God, it was meant to happen. It's really a new day for YOU. We go through pains, trails and new beginnings sometimes. I loved the scripture, Psalm 118:22 is the headstone or chief cornerstone.)
You came through a hero in this story. With the right invitation, she'll still come out to play. Only now, she's playing for KEEPS! Amen. Good job! No revisions. Happy writing:-)

I enjoyed your contest entry. You did a great job with the prompt. Your lines flow smoothly from start to finish. I was engaged the entire time. Your 'intro' set the stage well for what was to come. I understand how the fire image played a role in what you discovered about many things including yourself. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Respectfully, Jan

A very powerful and personal story. It sounds like you've been through quite a lot and come out the better for it. I too am going through some hard times and I've kind of lost my zest for life. Maybe I can find it again in faith. Thank you for the inspiration!!

Hello Brenda. You wrote your story with great passion and you touched on so many things that can effect lives, and how we think of ourselves, and each other. Your message is strong. I wish you the best in your journey. We do get beaten down in life. The victory is in rising up again.
Good luck in the contest.
Robert

The term "baptism of fire" came to my mind when I read your story of personal trials and development. You were reborn as a stronger woman, your sense of self burnished, faith resurrected. Your story is well written, carrying much universal truth, wisdom and personal insight.

This is a good example of what it means to rise above trials and tribulations, and to press forward to a new and brighter future. We can overcome the ravishes of fire.
