How clever you are. I find it comical thinking about measuring the distance between our fellow citizens. Your poem is very witty and enjoyable. All in all a great presentation.

    That is so nice! Thank you very much. Can't you just see us all walking around with our measuring sticks? That just made me think of dance numbers in musicals. I can just picture all of them dancing with their sticks.
    Think I'm going stir crazy. :)

I shared this post with my spouse who is a big road cyclist. She carries a spray to fend off dogs on her trips. She thought your poem was especially apropos.

Nice overall presentation for this contest.

    I have the old fashion straight wooden yard stick. Could not find a picture of a woman holding one, except some sexy babe pointing at a map.

I love this 20 word poem! You always think of very creative things. Can you imagine carrying around a yardstick and getting it out whenever someone approaches you? Very well written, lots of fun to read. Great image also. Good luck in the contest!

Oh I love it and you are so right. Excellently done. A friend said use your arm for a ruller, but when we compared, hers was right on but mine was a little short. LOL

    would you believe I couldn't find a single picture of a female holding a regular old wooden yard stick? Of course, as some FS members told me, (like I didn't know) that a yardstick wasn't long enough.)
    thanks for reading, and yeah, don't think rulers would cut it. :)

Good dose of humor for today. It seems that we always have something to fear, I suppose. Mace and pepper spray might have been useful under usual circumstances. A yardstick would be a hand-dandy reminder of social distancing. This is a great idea, and best of luck in the contest. judi
