Thank you, Dolly, for your warm review. This is actually a true story. The walker is my husband. I was with him on my mobility scooter when he helped this lady. I am tempted to write a follow up poem as we again met this lady weeks later. She told us she had tried to find the owner by putting a message on Facebook. She took our number to arrange for her son to return the wayward stick.

Six stars poem for us handicappers who like to walk with our dogs with our helping sticks. Great rhythm and rhyme, I named mine John MyCain as a tribute to him as he also was handicapped. Good Luck in the contest and may God Bless you.

Wow, six stars ! Thank you so much. As I told another interviewer the ?walker? was my husband and we have since met up with the lady concerned. She recognised us and was relieved to find the owner of the walking stick. She took our number and said she would arrange for her son to bring it round to us. Alas, lockdown has curtailed the return.
