I am taken by this line "threads of sunlight enroll overhead...""This is such a poetic thought, how wonderful that you brought it to life... As always, I admire your writing and words of haith and hope.

This free form poem stretches from creation to today in not that many words. Well done! I see God throughout, which is another worthy point. Without the Mastermind, the various phases you mentioned could not have occurred.

Thanks for the excellent review and for your wonderful comments supporting this poem. You seem to have gotten exactly what I was trying to say; that God is behind creation, and recreation. This is about time and eternity, the new heaven and new earth coming from the old ones estory

Hi estory, darn, I don't have any six left to hand out. You have yet again, written a wonderful poem in a style I like very much. It's also a style you seem to master almost to perfection. A joy to read.
Now, I have ventured into something new on this site. I have started a prose contest. It's not blind and it's called: 'Did you see that?' I hope to see a lot signing up, as this site needs more prose writing. Now, I'll see how it goes.
Again, to get back to your poem. It has this certain pace and your words underline that. All best. Ulla:))

Thanks so much for this five star review and all your continued support of my work. I am glad you enjoyed it and found it so stylized. I put a lot of work into trying to be unique. I will maybe take a look at that contest; but I must say I am set up to continue posting short stories from my new collection, Intersections, which I worked on over the winter. Next up will be U Turn. estory

Estory, I am so sorry I have no six stars left to give you. I would have liked to. What struck me most is the endlessness of time and the influence of light. So beautifully expressed.
You succeeded to write down your intend, as I read it in your postscript.
An impressive poem. Thank you.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your wonderful, encouraging comments supporting this poem. I liked that; the endlessness of time and the influence of light. There are strong spiritual undertones of this, it was inspired by those last chapters of Revelation when the new earth and the new heaven emerge. estory

The Long Sun
by estory

Hello my friend

Beautiful poem about the sun and a tribute to the artwork of
Anna Arborg. You did a good job painting a mental picture. Well done.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your wonderful, encouraging remarks supporting the poem. The art work was multicolored threads stretched across a large space overhead in an atrium catching the sunlight. AS you walked under it, you could see the light shining along the threads, moving ahead above you, changing in brightness and color and shape. I was impressed. estory

Estory,

I love your glimpse of the end of the old world with the ushering in of the new. I don't know science, but the process you describe is fascinating, just like God.

Exceptional!

Patricia

Thank you my master scientist. Science never sounded so beautiful. Your are quite the wordsmith. I will attempt to find this picture on line. My youngest son lives in Raleigh and is a freelance photographer (as a hobby.) He has been to every art museum there is. He sent me a snapshot of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre. It's smaller than I thought.

Lovely offering today, dear poet.

Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your wonderful, encouraging remarks. I think that exhibit was a couple of years ago; around the same time as the You Are Here show at NC Museum of Art. I was impressed. Glad the poem was able to capture those visual images so well. estory

I think that you wrote a great and amazing poem. It is well written with no grammar errors. It is also very creative. I'm always interested in how God created Earth and Heaven.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for your encouraging remarks. This poem was actually inspired by the last few verses from Revelation, where the new heaven and new earth emerge out of the old ones. I wanted to capture this sense of the eternity of time, of recreation through Jesus Christ. Here the sun is a symbol of Jesus. estory

This free verse, The Long Sun, brings many of the sun's duties up as you example the molecular changes it affects every day. I would have loved to see a photograph of these colored silk pieces.

Thanks for the excellent review and your encouraging remarks supporting the poem. That exhibit was a couple of years ago here in Raleigh; I don't know if it toured other parts of the country. She's definitely an avant guarde artist. But I was impressed by it. estory
