I think the dialogue was pretty lively, we get the interaction and the emotions of the characters as they discuss their attractions and jealousies. It seems to me a personification of the magic world, much like Lord of the Rings or Chronicles of Narnia, although yours is more in the vein of adolescent love in that magic world. Good detailed descriptions set the scene and put us in it. estory

I have my "not brooking any foolishness" voice too. My children know it is coming if they watch for the signs. I've even heard them warn each other! ha ha

I can hear the youthful tone of these characters' voices. There is a close connection and yet there is obvious conflict with the narrator's love for Gregor. Great job with this post and wonder how you juggle so many different book plots!

Oh, they are quite the trio... lol!
My characters are my escape from the nuttiness especially now, although it's all still in my head cuz I don't have time for much else... hoping that's gonna smooth out, but I've a feeling it's gonna get worse: you don't realize how dependent you become on the kids asking questions to really 'polish' a lecture with each class! :) So, lots of extra chat time and scan/email stuff on top of the 'online conversions' and such! :) C'est la vie!! ;) Yvette

Even though it was just a loud whisper, both of them continued staring at me: Joaquim in defiant satisfaction and Justine in complete and utter surprise.
The silence held for only a few seconds before a look of realization enveloped her face followed by just a hint of a scrunching of her nose.
'You kissed a human, Celeste?' Justine barely finished her question before Joaquim doubled over with laughter. I just stood there, unable to wipe the stupid grin from my face as the memory of Gregor's touch washed through my being again. Yep, the trouble I was in could not begin to be defined...
Justine turned her disbelief toward her brother and quickly switched it to sibling annoyance. 'And why are you laughing at me?'", because you seem to have really gotten a good grip on these characters and their relationship to on another as well as their personalities! It reminded me somewhat of teenage girls giving their friend a hard time about her first kiss from a boy!

Well, Girly, this is so much fun to read. I feel like I'm reading the Twilight series again, only your story is much more complex. I like the Bubble. Is it like a one way mirror--the fairies can see out, but the humans can't see in. I suppose the humans can't even see them--like they are wearing an invisibility cloak.
I'm getting carried away with my review. I would like to know more about the bubble though. I'll look back at your former chapters. I tend to forget.
Nice job with this chapter. I'm glad that Celeste's secret is out in the open. I hate stories where the romance is hidden. That just seems wrong.

I can't wait to get back to a semblance of normal. They cancelled our Butler High School 50th reunion today. It was scheduled for late July. It's looking like I won't get to see my NY baby in June. It's just a crazy mess right now. Hope you are staying in. Is your lawyer son having to go in to work?

And Nick's fine ... they're taking turns holding down the fort at the DA's office so hes all caught up on work/trial prep and it seems he's even had time to get online with his brothers.... totally unreal all round...🤨🧜♀️🧝♀️🧞♀️ Sigh.
