HURRAH! It is such an HONOR writing at your side. As you know, you get at least 90% of the credit for this AWESOME chapter! Love the humor throughout, as well as the memories of Bret when he was younger. Now, Angel and Bret are in danger. The cave entrance has collapsed and they're stuck inside. Will Bret save them both, will he, huh? (Well, we can stay there for a while first, 'cause I enjoy your company!) I know we are already working on Chapter 5, as well as several chapters from our other books. YAY!!! We're writing faster than...."a purebred horse in a derby!" You Betcha! God Bless, Co-Author!
Respectfully with Admiration and Continuous Heaps of Love,
Cathy

"SHAZAM!" Quite an "ASTONISHING" review, Co-Author. Are you looking? Writing at your side is "MY" HONOR, and the 90% credit for the chapter belongs to guess who? "YOU!" So, hush your mouth, Colonel, 'cause I still outrank you--"YAY!" "Please, Grandma, hide your broom today!" Now, we have 5-books on the burners, so c'mon and let's move out--"Getty-up!" See my hand? A "SALUTE!" Best wishes and God Bless, CO-AUTHOR!" Respectfully with Admiration and a "TON of LOVE!" Bill

Great story, Cathy and Bill.

I've been off for awhile, or off and on anyway. I'm very familiar with Bill's work, anyway. I'm glad to see the two of you collaborating. It works well.

Great, authentic story.

Take care,
Rhonda

This chapter is well-written with many details and good dialogue. Everything reads well. The flow is good to keep readers interested. It is exciting, too. Your characters, their actions, and the story make me want to read more.

This is quite a story the two to of you have put together. I grew up in the country and I thought it was about as earthy as it could get but I think this one has it beat. I will continue to read whenever I get a chance. I'm not sure I like the fact that Jesus has to have so much wine to deal with pair. I know it is only meant to be amusing but it is a little much.

A "SALUTE," Beth! Sorry to have offended you about Jesus and the wine. Cathy and I only intended to bring smiles on the readers faces. For your information, We love Jesus! Of course, we meant to be amusing; yet, if it was a little much for you, then we apologize. Hope to see you in Chapter 5. Thanks for the excellent review, and taking the time to read our work. Best wishes and God Bless. Respectfully with Admiration, Cathy and Bill.

You mentioned that Angel and you were trapped inside of the cave...this reminded me of Easter Sunday when the stone was removed away from Jesus's tomb. He is alive! I'm sure you'll make it out of your cave safe, too. Have to think positive in these trying times. You are with an angel.

The quality of this writing is best illustrated by my desire to keep reading. In reading this I was transported to the location designed in my mind. I don't know if I could write in partnership with someone else as I'd probably insist on control. Reading this all I can think is how fantastically well you two writers blend together as one.

Bill and Cathy, this is an exciting, adventure packed chapter that I loved reading. Your 'Greeting Friends' does exactly as written. One minute, I'm laughing at Bill's antics; and, the next I'm saddened by the outcomes of parts of the story. Both authors do an exceptional job of keeping their own POV; yet, merging it within the framework of the story.

I like the 'Previously' as it sets the tome of what to expect in this chapter. Readers know that great action and dialogue will follow. They ae reminded about the main characters, too.

This chapter started on a high note. Brett is up to his unusual flirty self as Cathy teased him along. She had his 'number.' However, she is still perplexed if she is handling him in the way God intended.

Readers get a glimpse of how life was out in the country from the hunting for meat on the table nd how 'nature's call' was handled. It was all real. We felt their admiration and love of God's creatures with the inclusion of the momma bear taking care of her little ones. Right before we saw the urgency of the imminent attack by the bear; but, God had other plans. When Cathy prays, her words were sincere and believable.

Bill's flashbacks to his earlier times, both on the farm and school, allowed readers to learn more of his personality. There was great poignancy in describing the funerals of Grandpa's brother and sister. The descriptive words let readers envision it as they occurred. Grandma's announcement to Bill to come to breakfast jars us back to reality. She was a strong-willed woman who showed she was wise beyond her age.

The cave-in of the cave was well-described. In just a few sentences, readers understand the dilemma that Bill and Cathy faced. What a way to entice readers to return to read the next chapter and find out the outcome of that cliff hangar. As usual, Bill doesn't seem as worried as Cathy. However, deep down we know he was. But, he believed his faith would see them through--hopefully.

The cover design is AWESOME, Cathy, as is this chapter.
Thanks Bill and Cathy for sharing.
Respectfully with Love and Admiration. Laura Jan
