I am so glad you got away from that horrible boss. No job is worth your sanity. I'm glad you found another job.

Mr. Tennis Plyer, you don't have to (Player??)

Seems like you quit your job in a very spectacular way that probably has them still talking. Maybe the snake learned something in this interchange, but if she is really insane she probably didn't. I applaud you for not continuing to work for a place that is driving you crazy too. I hope you found something you like better. Written in an entertaining way.

Yes, my mother tongue is Romanian, I am fluent in Bulgarian and English, I understand Russian, a little bit of hindi, and if you leave me for a week in France and Spain I could speak that too:)

It must be wonderful that you can learn so fast how to speak other languages. Sounds like God gave you a gift.

You were in luck, for me didn't work out, they defended her and said that this is her way of managing, like micro-managing.

Iza, I recall reading about your discontent in your job in the past. I'm glad you got out of there. Was this woman your boss for ten years? I couldn't have stayed that long. Good luck with your new job.

My word! She got what she deserved. No question of that. As you say, life is too precious to put up with that kind of shit. Australia, like Canada, is multicultural and all the better for being so.

It's funny that the mean people are sometimes immigrants such as myself, and because they come earlier in life, they didn't get to keep the humbleness and because of the circumstances got the wrong impression that abusing the other is the way to success...

A bit of anarchy at work. Everyone wants to do what you did, but they won't. Good for you, putting snake in her place. Great job of not being pushed around for a paycheck.

All the tasks she gives us are water balloons that are dissipating in thin air when the new task annihilates the previous one.--a dynamite metaphor that summarizes corporate bosses lack of organization and stupidity.

your English is not Canadian enough for this job,LOL
Great satire here, Iza.

I enjoyed your story. I am assuming from reading it that English isn't your first language, but I'm sure you know many and I only know one. There are some typos, which is to be expected for that same reason. During our working lifetime, we all come across crazy bosses and intolerable situations. Glad you had a chance to get a better job. Hi Marilyn, thank you so much for your review, and you are right English is my third language, so please forgive me for my bad grammar.
reply by BeasPeas on 22-Mar-2020
Hi Iza. Reading between the lines of your work, I pieced together that English is not your native language and I congratulate your knowledge/command of three languages. Many people only speak one and may not even speak that one correctly. :) Marilyn

I was hoping it was fiction. What a witch...well, snake in your terms. The picture says SNEK--is that intentional? Suggestion: water balloons POP vs dissipate. Funny bit re GAME OVER in tennis. I can play that kind too. Cheers. LIZ
