I really enjoy reading this poem and I have done a few times. It is so emotional, so poetic, so beautifully written. There are so many expressions I like:
morning extravagance
brilliantly painted scene
a portrait of the image of God
lifting us above this sea, this sand, that light.
Exceptionally done.

I really enjoyed reading this well written poem with the calming feeling of being in the moment in that experience. Thanks for passing on this creative expression of pece and the idea that God is still in control even when we deal with chaos in this world. I would give you six stars if I had it. Bill

I enjoyed your ode. Your words are filled with imagery surrounding the beautiful place your well-chosen words describe. I could picture everything you mentioned. I like how you focused on the changing light from darkness to sunrise. And, yes, God is the Master of All. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

This is a lovely poem full of ocean images, from darkness to sunrise with everything in between. The poem has a reverent feel to it making one want to think about God and His power over all.

While I have never seen a Carolina sunrise, you have explained it very vividly and excellently. I really enjoyed seeing the events play out in my head!

Hi estory, it is a beautiful poem and in the style you are so good at. Yes, it is uplifting to read in these dire times. I'm housebound as everybody else here in Spain, 47 millions of us. They say it could be for more than a month, and I believe it. All borders are closed in Europe only goods can pass. It's dire times for sure. Stay safe. Ulla:))

The best tome of the day for me is the early morning, the dawning light unfolds, and as scripture says, God's mercies are new every morning, (mind you there are may times in the day also, where this sense can be felt) but the quietness of the morning, one can hear God whispering. Well done, an excellent work, blessings, Roy

Hello estory. This is a beautiful ode to the sunrise and everything it encompasses. The narrative is clean and gentle. The descriptors are elegant and vivid. The reader can see a visual, verbal image while taking in each well-crafted verse.

I am agog at the breathtaking descriptions of a sunrise at the beach. I feel a walk on the beach is so cleansing, clear, and inspiring. A great source of peace and inspiration. I am saving this poem; I want to learn from it.

Fresh imagery--pulse of the lighthouse. Light scattered across grains of sand...glitters in a thousand fragments...waves breathing vs the usual crashing on the shore. Nice work. Cheers. LIZ
