What a great quote, the older I get. I've discovered that it doesn't matter what company one moves in, the good looking, the talented, the loudest vessel are considered, invisibility is a great asset, no one sees where the voice comes from. Well done Tony, good to see you back. Good luck, blessings, Roy

Thanks for your review. I think you are the only reviewer who has seen the alternative meaning in this short poem. Unsolicited advice has never been a marketable commodity!

That was brilliant, and so true!! What a wonderful contest entry, Tony, I'm just so sorry I can't give you the well deserved 6. But I can wish you loads of luck in this contest, If it doesn't win, I'll be very surprised. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

This little cutie raises a much- needed chuckle in our pandemic ravaged world of the moment - how true it is - wisdom in not really all that cool -sadly !!

Thanks very much for reviewing this tiny offering and for your kind words, Pam. I've now completed three runs through The French Letter, parsing for errors and inconsistencies. I've cut the length by 18,000 words and am now rewriting some of the chapters that appalled me the most. LOL Self-isolation is a blessing at this time!

Ha ha ha, I know that feeling Tony and you made me smile with your few words of wisdom here! The youth like to experience all the mistakes we made for themselves, you can take the horse to water, but you can't make him drink! Much enjoyed, love this presentation, love Dolly x

LOL - this is really clever, Tony. Reminds me of the adage, 'youth is wasted on the young.' You did a good job with this short, short. You chose your words carefully and that picture is such a hoot. Hugs, Lou

Hey mate, good seeing you back. You know I miss your stories. Trusting you have a new offering coming soon. This was a great poem. I have a few around atm if you look. Great picture as well. As we get older the younger generation think they know everything.

Thanks, Geoffrey. I appreciate your comments. I have a great deal of editing yet to do on The French Letter. At least, with the blessing of self-isolation, I have unlimited time for it. Nevertheless, I doubt I'll embark on another story until I'm more or less satisfied with it.

Hope some of the others I have pointed to you have caught on.

Hello Tony, Yes, in that group, the oldies, considered to be most at risk from the coronavirus. But we are in good health with no nasty underlying problems, but are self isolating like a great many others. It's quite unbelievable actually - never had anything like this before... fires, floods, pandemic. Keep smiling Dx

Yes, we're self-isolating, too. I've no objections to that! LOL
