This contribution to St. Patrick's Day was utterly marvelous. Riverdance entertainment is exquisite. I see these are on UTube but I'm wondering if they are on CDs, for sale somewhere. My granddaughter was one of a group of Irish dancers and I know she would just love to see these dances.

That sounds very yummy. We just had chicken bean and rice. We don't do corned beef and cabbage, guess we just weren't brought up with it, but it does sound very good.

I was brought up with it minus the corned beef. My divorced mother raised me and my three siblings singlehandedly. Meat was once a week except for bacon and bologna. It's super good vegan. So glad you stopped by. I really appreciate your kimd review and comments, always!! Sending you my best today,

PS~ How is your foot healing?
reply by ExperiencingLiphe on 19-Mar-2020
The foot is doing okay. Both of my feet and all my toes are almost the same size again. I'm still in a walking boot. I get my stitches out a week from tomorrow and hopefully good things at that appointment. Thanks for asking. This has certainly been a journey

Awesome! I've never tried to make something with corned beef and this actually sounds pretty good. I'll give it a try and see if I like it.
I do love a good Guinness stew though!

Thank you, Sally. That was so sweet of you to go to that trouble for us. St. Patrick's Day was sort of a downer this year. Your kindness was a pick me up. I will guard your recipe, but I have passed it off to my two girls. They usually have St. Patrick's Day parties and do the cooking. That will have to be next year though.

I love corned beef. Just found that out a few years ago when friends had us over. I've been missing out all these years. Also love Riverdance. Remember the first time I saw the group on PBS. My sis and I were mesmerized. We got the video. Hope you are well. Can you believe all that is going on? I have never seen the like. My work has shut down so I have to work from home. I've not done it before so hope I can get thing hooked up right. Have to use a laptop. My nephew is super computer savvy so if I have a problem he can help I'm sure.

I'm still having some depression issues. I keep praying my meds will kick in. This is the pits! So I haven't felt like being on the site, but want to be. You take care dear. Rox

Thank you, Rox dear. I'm glad you enjoyed this. My offering for those trapped at home for a celebration. I've been feasting and dancing all week. I made this huge thing on Sumday and have been eating it all week. Praying for you just today and so glad to see you. Sending you my best today as always,

Hi Sally, I hope everybody will be happy to celebrate the day and thanks for sharing this with us. I wish there was a chance of doing that but here in Spain we are in full quarantine, only being allowed to go shopping for food and even that is being checked and curbed. Ulla xxx

Thankfully, I bought my corned beef weeks ago. Things have slowed here, but the grocery stores are mobbed. Disney World just closed on Sunday evening, way too late in my opinion. Spring break is in full bloom here in Florida. It's scary where I live. We took a drive to look at flowers on Saturday, and we saw people all over the place in the downtown areas. Restaurants were still open and lines pouring out the doors. Many are not taking it seriously. Jackson and I couldn't believe it. I hope this sent you a bit of cheer. It cheered my family and we are still enjoying the leftovers. You can make this without the corned beef. Just throw the brew in a cook pot with the cabbage, potatoes, and a few peppercorns for 25 minutes on a low boil. Divine! Sending you my best today as always,

Here we are now in almost total isolation. Food shops are open but they only let one person in at a time with at least 3 yards to the person in front. Banks are open but on reduced time and access, and farmecies are open. Other than that nothing! Fortunately, I live in the mountains so I drive to a isolated spot where I can go for a walk with my dog. It's a blessing as we would otherwise go stark raving mad. In truth, it's all rather scary. Hope you you both stay safe. xxx

Oh my - there's a lot of ingredients that go into your recipe. I usually just boil my corned beef with cloves to give it a terrific flavor. Gotta love the Irish! Love their music and their humor and their magical outlook on life. I'm thinking of the little people. What a terrific posting. Hugs, Lou

Thank you for your timely recipe plus shamrocks and tunes on this Saint Patrick's Day. I have a two-pound corned beef brisket for tonight and all of the other ingredients. I'll be thinking of you during our feast. Smiles- Joan

This work has reached the exceptional level

My mouth is watering! I will definitely have to try this recipe! but i'll end up eating it all as only myself and prior generations will venture to cabbage and corned beef world! Ugh! Bread and real butter! I'm in heaven! thanks for the Riverdance videos. My daughter and I went to one of their shows about 5 or 6 years ago and had wonderful mezzanine seats and we sat with our mouths dropped open the entire show! Just stunning! Sigh... thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe! xoxoxoxoxo

I can't believe you gave me a six for this! You must really love me. Thank you so much. I am very blessed!! Well, at least you got my time honored recipe and some entertainment out of it. :))

There were so many fantastic Riverdamce videos to choose from. These two are my favorites. The fiddle music is about 45 minutes long, and I played it in the background during cooking and at dinner. I was so cheered at the end of it all!! I hope it had the same effect on you, and all my FanStory family.
Sending you my best today as always with many thanks!!

Oh yes! I love an Irish fiddle! Our mountain music and bluegrass come from this Irish background. It?s the only kind of ?country? music I like. And yes, I think your delicious recipe deserved a six for giving it up to all of us! And yes, much love for you!!! xoxo
