Wow Linda,
You hit a treasure trove of reflection and self inquiry in this stunning
'Memories" poem!!! We live in and out of our memories all our lives,
and indeed we often wonder which or how many we really lived up
to or which one's we've as often still sighed about. Phrase like
'mannequin of moments', really rolls through the senses in silent
related times in our lives too. Each inquiry summons ones own
scan of memories so compellingly! Ah your last phrase, most
poignent, powerful and crowning glory of truth and wisdom's
gathered in a very touching and inspiring poem. Thanks for
sharing dear! Awesome indeed! Glad to see you posting again too!
Love, blessings always, Ronni

Hi Ronni, so good to see you my sweet friend... thank you sweet girl for a amazing review...and all your lovely stars...I have had some trouble with my eyes lately....so I had some surgery...one still gives me some trouble...so the doc said to limit my reading for now...she has some more work she needs to do on them...so when I get back from helping my brother with my mom...I may have to have another surgery...but I know it will all work out...I put them in God's hands...no better doctor than that...I am so glad you like my poem...thank you...love you...and Blessings to you as well...Linda xxoo

Your poem shares what happened as I get older
and live alone. Those memories help me through
each day and I have the same question, as you did!
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Linda. This is very well written. Sorry not to have a sixer for you. I think there comes a time in our lives when we ponder these things. Your poem and the illustration have done it well. Stanzas three and four are particularly good and I like the ending, "I smile." Hugs, Marilyn

Did you have cataract surgery? I had quick recuperation for one. The other eye had two procedures--that one was a long recuperation at least a month. Blessings to you with fast healing. Hugs, Marilyn

These are the fundamental questions we all ask ourselves, I guess as we journey on while taking a backward glance over our shoulders at what has already unfolded in our lives

Hello Linda,
Oh my goodness!
Your well-crafted poetic offering speaks to me on many levels. The fifth stanza resonates deeply:
and I wonder of my past
did I do all the right things?
did I walk the right path asked of me?
did I trip too many times to forgive?

Lots of stumbles, but still I carry on:

and I am reminded
good or bad
it is all my memories lived
that made me who I am
and I smile

Thank you for sharing!
diane

Oh, my beautiful Lady Linda -- you have done nothing but make me smile through tears here! :) Yes, we are all of them - those that shall never be allowed to surface and those that we proudly wear as a highlight to our eyes, yes? And the best part of getting a bit melancholic once in a while is just as you conclude here: they have all played a role in who we are today.... and we have to smile - because guess what? What we are today is damn awesome and NO ONE can ever duplicate our awesomeness because our memories are ours and ours alone!! ;) :) Thank you for the uplifting start to the week, my lovely lady -- take care of you out there!! ;) Yvette

Hi Linda, absolutely, where did all the years go? It is something we all ask ourselves. You've written a beautiful poem expressing just that. I'm so lucky that I'm able to say. Yes, I've lived my lived to the full, and from day one. I hope you have as well. Ulla xx

I really like your picture it's actually settling the mood for the read . I really liked this stanza." I ponder back on memories unwanted
never to be relived
and those so tightly treasured
seen only as pure gold"

Thank you for sharing and good luck with your next poem
