You have said it best. Your poetry brought tears
to my eyes, yet understandably a quick turn around
and gave me peace. Thanks for sharing.

I think you've done a great job writing this poem. I liked "drink the teardrops". It comes across to me as a forced recognition of the pain of the other is experiencing. Best wishes in all you do.

Thanks for sharing your reflections on love and the intricacies of human relationship. I especially liked these lines:
"intimacy of love
allow a melding
of the one complete soul"
As those few seconds convey what God intended love to be from the beginning.

I think so too. Thank you.

Yes, so much said there about today, about yesterday, about who we were and what we are... I must say that the only time we truly own someone is in those moments of shared intimacy when two truly are one... after that? Well, after that and for that it seems our director for a time. To find true ownership after so many tears... I don't know, do we actually find it again... perhaps. Perhaps not. The tears, though... the tears are ink for the poet. :) :) A beautiful offering, Victor, that touches a very special part of the heart that remains hidden... thank you for sharing! :) Yvette

I really liked this stanza for me contains the essence of life and of the whole poem :""No dear,"
mumbling...
"just tears."
Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day.

Oh my, will the night hold my quill's... aspirations?.. The lines are quite beautiful.. Sex, lust, passion and love.. Most people are confused to differentiate their feelings... Yes, the first time is every time... not only for this.. but for everything..

Victor, that is amazing.
Congratulations on your wonderful wins.
I have to say, though, that I have read it several times, and I'm not quite sure of your meaning - whether this is all memory, or perhaps a new love, or your original love remembering sadness. Or maybe I've missed it all the way around.
But, It certainly shows deep feeling and, I think, sadness.
Thank you for sharing,

Your writing is always outstanding to me. This entire depiction of love, sex, passion, tears, is very intense and yet in spots more lighthearted. Your last stanza is outstanding. Your image is dramatic and adds flair. Great poem!

Here I find an attractive philosophical musing on romantic love. The stanza that appeals to me most strongly is the following:
Only for
a few precious seconds
does the intimacy of love
allow a melding
of the one complete soul
torn apart,
so long ago.
This brings my mind back to Adam who was created "male and female," and God did a delicate surgery in separating out the "female" from the "male." And this accounts for the yearning we feel for reestablishing that completeness.
"A few precious seconds"? I would have written "a few precious years."

Hello, I think I could pick your poetry from a hundred poems because your style is original and very poetically written. And not overworked, so the reader can relate.
I enjoyed this very much and have no suggestions for its improvement. A work I would recommend and thank you for sharing it, Eve.
